Something comforting and homey like fish and chips or sausage and mash. Been in tears or on the verge of them all day, and I just want to feel warm and cozy.

Awww!  :\\\'( :-* Get thee to the chippy.

DH made pork & cabbage & noodle stir-fry with hot Thai peppers & Szechuan pepper powder.  Oh my!  Was it ever fiery, but soooo good!  My nose was breaking out with beads of sweat, nose running, and my lips were burning & I loved every minute of it.  That's a definite chili-gasm for sure!  ;D

Lime-marinated salmon, roasted broccoli or cauli, and probably steamed new potatoes!

That sounds fantastic!!  How do you roast your broccli/cauli so it doesn't get burned on the outside?  How long do you marinade your salmon? :D

The marinade I use (from Cooking Light) only takes an hour with fresh salmon. I only had frozen, so I plopped those in the marinade, and put it back into the fridge for about 4 hours. I'd shake it every now and then. They were marinaded and thawed by the time I cooked them. I don't really do anything special with roasting the broccoli and cauliflower. I usually do one or the other, but if I'm doing both I start roasting the cauliflower first because it takes longer. After 10 or 15 minutes I throw in the broccoli and roast that until it's just starting to turn a little brown. I eyeball it, but I guess it takes about 10 minutes.

Tonight we're having Squirrelypoo's macos!  :)

Sausages and mash I think.  That or leftover Bolognese.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

OK, I'm intrigued by these sesame noodles... I heart noodles (though DH really doesn't, so something I can eat for leftovers would be awesome!) Gimme the scoop, please!  ;)

Haha! I got them from the pioneer woman. Now we eat them about twice a week. They're so easy and so good! It's just hot noodles tossed with a mix of soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and sugar. (she bulks up the sauce with canola oil. But I just omit it.) Garnish with spring onions or sesame seeds. They're good cold the next day too.  :-[ ;)

Oh yum! I will look that up! Thanks! They sound a bit like some noodles Nigella made on her Express show once... I forgot about that.

Tonight will likely be pizza and salad with some fresh pizzas we picked up from Aldi yesterday.
