I am also interested if someone could tell me how it works... is it a send local foods to others in US or UK? Or is it by request?

I still have not received mine (Kellie sent to Pebbles and I) and I don't think Kellie has received hers either!?  Have you.  I don't get it, some packages I get in a few days others, never, or a few months!  Maybe someone can research it about shipping and length of time etc.  I am still willing to do it though.  If Kellie does not get hers soon I might have to send double ;)

I'm sad I haven't received mine yet, and also sad that poor marsbar hasn't had her shipment of Mars Bars yet! :(

Stacey, I'm sure our packages will make it soon.  Maybe they've had a rendezvous somewhere mid-Atlantic!

It's just irritating because both yours and Pebbles' were mailed at the same time.  I'm sure it will make it soon.

In the meantime, I'll keep tabs on this thread as to who wants to participate in the next round.  Next week, I think perhaps we should evaluate if the current schedule in light of the shipping times and amount of people who have not yet received their packages.  Perhaps by next week, these elusive Foodie parcels will make it to their destinations!

In the meantime, I've gorked out on Penguin Bars and Thorntons that I received from Pebbles.  (Saving the Piccalilly for DH this weekend - blech!   :P )

Hi Belindaloo - I'm responding your post on this Food Swap thread, since we're on to the May swap:  I know that not everybody gets as easily confused as me, but I thought it would be a good idea to keep just one Food Swap thread going at a time!   ;)

I do know that MarsBar has been very busy, settling in in the US at the moment.   I'm pretty confident that she will respond to your emails.

I still have not received one of my packages, and I know that one of mine has not yet been received by Stacey.  Very ironic since both of mine were posted at the same time, and that Stacey posted hers to me before Pebbles posted hers.

I'm putting out the questions to determine whether or not we should proceed with the May food swap, or postpone it.

1)  What is the status of everybody's packages?
2)  Should we restructure and do the swap three times a year, rather than four, to allow more time for packages to arrive?  This change would make the schedule:  February - June - October.

I, personally, have enjoyed participating in this program and would like to continue.  I think it may just need some tweaking to  accomodate the lengthy posting times and to keep the costs viable for all.

Let me know your thoughts, Foodies!

Thanks! I didn't know she was in the middle of moving and settling.

Haven't received anything yet. I sent two parcels to marsbar and don't know if she has received either one of them yet.

I'm happy to keep doing the swap four times a year. However, if the cost of shipping is an issue for people, reducing to three times would be OK. We could vote? But I definitely want to keep this going! I think it's an awesome idea, and I'd hate for you to have put all this energy into it and have it fizzle out!

1. No, I have not received mine :\\\'(
2. I would think maybe 3 times would be better considering the price of sending them and amount of time to get them.

I've added a poll, with the options of three or four times per year.

Looking forward to participating before I move to Leeds and while I am here also, on the receiving end. Hook me up with info and I'll happily shop and ship to anyone needing a taste of home!

I'm game for either 3x/year or 4x and am looking forward to it either way. :D

Can we get an "either" option on the poll? I vote for whatever everyone else wants to do. :)
