What tea do you drink?
« on: April 07, 2005, 10:30:56 AM »
Me, when I drink tea I drink green tea, with 1tsp of sugar in a huge mug.
My favorite flavors are:
Lotus
Mango
Vanilla.

You?

(In the mornings, though, I must have coffee...)

PG Tips.

I was in Florida visiting my mother for a week and I had to hit the "Brit section" at Publix to pick up a small box of PG Tips - I just could not make it through the first day without my tea!

At night I drink either Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Tea (in my Sleepy Time Tea mug!) or Almond Sunset or Bengal Spice.  Yummy!

I'm not a big tea drinker so Richard picks up tea for himself, which is usually the house brand from Tesco.

What I find interesting is this whole idea that the number of sugars put into tea is class-based.  Richard gets a real kick out of the fact that I like my tea really sweet which he equates to builders and such.  It's some kind of macho thing, the number sugars in tea.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

What's it say about me that I take no sugar in my tea?  ???

No sugar, very very very little skim milk.  I like my tea strong!

The Celestial Seasonings teas, I usually sweeten them with honey rather than sugar.

i'm like you peedal.  i drink the celestial seasonings plain.

my tea normally has a splash of skim and no sugar.

although when father in law makes it with milk and a sugar it's heaven.  ;)

on a day to day basis, i like it strong!  esp. my earl grey

Apparently, less sugar = upper class.

My father-in-law has FIVE sugars in his tea.  But he puts it down to rationing in the war and blames his sweet tooth on years that he went without.   :)

I drink Aveda comfort tea....it really is soothing! You don't need milk or sugar...its perfect on its own.   ;)

I stocked up when we went back to the states recently although our local House of Fraser sells it.

I must be freakin' royalty, then!  ;)

I do admit to having sugar & semi-skimmed milk when I don't feel well - it's more of a "comfort food" than a beverage then.  :D
