American Food Bonanza!!!
« on: July 30, 2003, 11:38:47 PM »
Lakeside Mall. 25 minutes East (by train) from Tower Bridge (well, Fenchurch Station).

Lower Level outside the entrance to Marks & Spensers.

Place called "Made in Heaven".

Oreos. Bags and bags of them, and double stuffed too. Individual oreo packs. Hershey Syrups. Hershey Bars. Hot Tamales. York peppertmint patties. Apple Jacks. Lucky Charms. Oreo cereal. Marshmallow Fluff. Mike & Ikes. Hershey Kisses. Jelly Bellys. Fanta. Tab. Baby Ruths. Reese's Bars and Cups and Bites. Chips A Hoy Cookies. Jif. Crunchy Jif. Hersheys cookies & cream bars.

I nearly cried when I walked in there today. It's been around a few weeks but I've never gone in.... things are a bit pricey - £8 for a pack of Oreos - but still, there were several bags of them!

I stood there for quite a while and tried to memorize their stock so I could post it here - hope I did a good enough job. :)

TAB?!?!?!    :P

Did you happen to catch the price on the Marshmallow Fluff?  My regular supplier in Bluewater was carrying the Strawberry stuff last time I went...   :-/

Marshmellow Fluff is in Selfridges on Oxford St. for £3.50 if I recall correctly.  (Along with all sorts of goodies!)

Pam - it's not actually part of M&S, it's a store right outside their entrance. It's called Made in Heaven, or Sweets from Heaven, I don't remember. And yep, they specialize in American products, so it's ALL the time, and there's LOADS of stuff. :)

Nice to see you back by the way, you've been missed!

I believe you can.  They're sold as tiger king prawns.  Most shops have them and the nice thing about the UK is they still have fishmongers in most communities.  They can get you just about anything you want!

Ok, I don't think that my darling wife has seen this particular thread yet and when she does we'll be going down there and buying them out!!  Elle was just saying to me the other day that she thought it was about time that she got another delivery from her supplier of US food!!  But if they're as close as chafford hundred we'll come down and have a look!

;)We also have to meet up with Mrs Marlespo too!  Could this be some kind of pilgrimage.......
