I am looking forward to this year's Eurovision--if only because there's been a significant shift in the whole Eurovision scene, at least judging by the acts different countries are sending.

Unfortunately I doubt anybody will be able to pull off a "Lordi" this year.

My husband isn't impressed either.  Then again, the first year I was here, he said I had to watch the Eurovision contest as part of my cultural education/indoctrination. :P

Following which, I've made him watch it every year ever since. >:D

I know I say it every year, but for me it's all about Terry Wogan's commentary.

But I am looking forward to seeing Lordii again!

You'll have to watch and see!
Just remember when the songs end is NOT the time to start talking amongs yourselves... you HAVE to listen to the commentary...

It's just about the cheesiest, OTT music show you've ever witnessed, lovingly mocked by one of the country's greatest wits.

Oh well.  It'll make a bigger treat for when the Doc returns the following week!

All Terry Wogan has to say is "oh dear" when the performers are on, and I'm in hysterics (well, nearly).
That's the reason I don't like to go to Eurovision parties, much as I'd like.  Don't want to miss what he's saying!

If only we'd known (in advance) to do shooters last year - every time the local presenters said 'Amazing!'

No, it was something that just sort of happened (I suppose randomly) last year.  The two local presenters (not Wogan) -- anything & everything was just 'Amazing!'  They used that word more than any other throughout the entire presentation.

Probably best to be prepared this year - 'cause I'm sure you can find something that will happen on which to base a game of shooters. Helps you sing along as well.  :P
