I'm a wine drinker mostly, and almost always red.  Drank a bit tooooooo much white in my younger years!!   :P

I will have a mixed drink occasionally, I love rum with a bunch of limes, some sugar, and ice...Mmmmmm!  Excellent in the summer heat, but will knock you on your butt in a second if you aren't careful.

But if I'm out at a bar/pub sort of place I prefer a pint of Guinness.  There is a place here by me in Michigan that is a microbrewery and they have an AMAZING home brewed stout.  It is all chocolaty and rich - fantastic!  I'm going there a week from Friday in fact!  (must get paid again first!  :-\\\\ )

I like anything that isn't beer, really.  At home it's usually wine.  Although I did throw together a rum & Coke for dinner the other night.  8)  When I'm out, it depends entirely on where I am.  One place makes fabulous martinis, another has Strongbow on tap (woo hoo!), and another has a great menu of "exotic" mixed drinks (mojitos, etc).  On a cold night, however, there's nothing like hot apple cider with a shot or two of spiced rum.

Usually coffee --- but due to recent job hopping -- it's BEER! ;) (and yes - I get paid to do TASTE TESTING!)  ;D

Yes, please! Tell us more!!

I picked wine, but it's actually wine and the hard stuff. I would never touch an alcopop  [smiley=puke.gif] and I'm not a huge beer fan.

If I'm on the hard stuff, it's either a nice Belvedere vodka martini dry, with 3 big olives; or Johnnie Walker Blue straight. In summertime, I've been known to drink vodka and grapefruit juice, too. I'm not usually big on sweet drinks, although sometimes a good mudslide (not a frozen girlie one, puhleeeese!) hits the spot! Margaritas can be nice, too, but again not frozen!

In order of preference -- liquor (generally vodka), white wine (no red!), then beer (but only Guinness or Newcastle Brown).

I can drink most anything but stout.  If I'm out, I'll generally drink beer or wine because mixed drinks are so horribly expensive and so terribly light on punch.

I've discovered these Mike's Hard Lemonades, which I don't remember pre-1996.

OMG, that stuff is BRILL on a hot summer day!  Yummy!

I've never had any that I really liked.  Got any good recipies?  I'd love to make it and see if I like it better when I make it myself with stuff I like.
