What would you "like to know" about the next poster....

Oh yes. My people are cruise people. I think I went on five before I was 13. We even spent Christmas 1988 on one.

What's your favorite nickname someone's given you?

I've had so many cutesie nicknames over the years, given to me by my sister, friends, parents, ex-es, etc.  My hubby calls me "fairy",    I guess that's my
favorite.

Have you ever tried to get people to call you something other than your "normal" name, but it just didn't stick or just didn't feel right to you?

Oh, yes.  I went through this silly phase when I wanted to people to call me "Doc," as my first two initials are M.D.  It never really happened and I eventually got over it, but a few people from way back when still do call me Doc.

What was the name you wanted most when you were little and would you still want it now?

Oh goodness, I went from Naira Beth (naira being Nigerian money and the name of my mom's dog!) and Shelby after Julia Roberts character in Steel Magnolias.  Yes, I was and am weird   No, I would NOT want either of those names now!  haha

What was the name of your first pet?

Tinga.  She was a cat named by my sister after the children's song "Tinga-ley-o" (sp??).

What's at the top of your to-do list?

Get myself into the city centre to spend the Christmas money I got on much needed clothes--first on that list is socks! 

What three things do you seem to buy everytime you go to the grocery store?

milk, eggs, bread (and biscuits!)

What have you never bought at the grocery store, but always wanted to buy?

Oh hmm...that's tough!  I bought some polenta the other day and that was on my to try list!  That's about it I think

Did you go to your high school prom and if yes, what did you wear?

No. Couldn't be bothered. Was dating someone from Uni at the time.

When was the last time you went back either to the states or to the uk, depending on what side of the pond you are on.

I was back home in August from Japan and we are going home in September for a visit   I can't wait for yummy food!

Have you read a good book recently and if yes, what was it?

About a year ago I read Eat Love Pray, and I absolutely loved it. I'd even say it inspired me. Since then, tho, nothing's really moved me (including "The Boleyn Inheritance," "The Celestine Prophecy," "Hissy Fit," "I Was Told There'd Be Cake," and "Such A Pretty Fat." (I'm not an avid reader.)

Have you ever gotten to the end of a movie and thought, "What just happened?"

Yup - The Matrix.  I was like "whhaaatttttt" "rriiggghhht" 

Have you ever lost something someone gave you and replaced it with a identical item as not to offend the person that gave it to you?

Not lost, but I broke a camera my dad gave me and I couldn't bear to tell him, so I bought another identical one on eBay.  And then I lost the replacement one later.   

How many cups of tea or coffee do you drink in a day?

Usually between 3-5 cups of tea.

Do you ever drink coffee or tea in the evening?

I occasionally drink coffee in the evening. I'm not too bad with the caffeine.

How much do you spend on a haircut?
