I carry one bag to work during the week, then I move my wallet into another bag that I use on the weekends.

Do you use public transportation on a regular basis?

For regular basis, I take the bus to town and a taxi back every Friday when I food shop. Other than that it depends on the weather and how far away our planned destination is.

Which side of the Coke/Pepsi debate are you on?

Jimmy Buffett, although I have never gone anywhere tropical. Just hearing his songs makes me ready to go away and enjoy myself for a while.

What do you usually do to entertain yourself on a flight?

70's soft rock, because it reminds me of simpler times, AM radio, my childhood..., and Elton John, because it is how I met my husband.

My first apartment (at 21) was a one bedroom with a HUGE living room and tiny, tiny kitchen. If I was at the stove and needed something from the fridge, or to put something in the sink, I didn't have to take a single step.  ;D The way it was built, it was halfway underground, on the bottom level of a three story building. I loved that place.

Are you generally a replace as needed or use it til it wears out type? (In general... shoes, appliances... anything.)

LOL! I use till it dies a horrendous messy death! My family wasn't well off when I was a kid, so my mom taught me to be real frugal and to fix things, etc. so I do it out of habit now! (Looking at my shoes with the heel fallen off and strips of fabric coming off...I don't think I can fix this guy anymore! LOL!)

Probably Albert Einstein because he was so brainy and had fabulous hair. With a bit of mousse and hairspray, he could have ruled the 80's.  ;D

When you go on long trips, do you pack snacks/a meal, or do you stop and eat along the way?

Hmm, depends.  If hubby and I are out hiking, we will bring snacks.  When we go hiking with another couple they like to stop and get lunch at a pub (very nice, but a treat for us to do that).

On long car rides do you tend to listen to the radio or CDs (MP3s, etc.)

I've got the iPhone all hooked up so that way I can listen to a playlist, have the satnav on and have it charge at the same time.  I don't have a radio in my car right now and even if I did, I'd still listen to the iPhone as I don't like listening to ads and the like.

speaking of phones... what kind do you have?  Are you old school and have only  a land line, do you have a cheap phone that does nothing but make and receive texts and calls or do you have a smart phone that is used for everything but making phone calls?

We have a landline (only just got one), but don't really use it and only a few people have the number, mainly his mum and my mom.

I have a 6 or 7 year old Nokia that only does phone calls and texts--that's all I need, I have a laptop for surfing the internet!

Hubby has a smart-phone, an Android, I think.

If you had to go back in time to live for one year, which decade / era would you pick and why?

Although I love learning about history, I really wouldn't like to go back in time to live.  If I had to do it for a year then I would probably choose the most recent past possible!
