Grocery stores

Where do you do your grocery shopping?

We usually go to Sainsbury's but since we're on a tight budget, we're going to have to go to Tesco.

Farmer's market.  ASDA once a fortnight for staples like sugar, instant coffee, margarine, etc.

Farm shop is the first stop for fruit & veg. Then I go to Tesco for the rest ... but only because that's all we have here (aside from Somerfield and Asda, which I don't like). When I'm visiting my BF, I go to the Sainsbury's near him. I really wish we had one!!

Sainsbury's is the most convenient to us, but i agree... they are a bit expensive.

We shop at three different stores. Tesco for their home delivery only....its a nice, large store but so overcrowded its way to OTT for me.  We use them for the big stock up every couple of weeks...water, soda, laundry detergent, garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, toothpaste......that kind of stuff. Paying £5.99 for delivery is worth every penny!  ;)

We also use Sanisbury's and Marks and Spencer on the High Street for food as both are convenient to us as we live in the Towne Centre.

The local village butcher for almost all out meat. The farm shop/market for fruit and veg when i can make it. And depending upon our current financial state, what we want to eat, and who is doing the shopping, we can go to Sainsburys, Tesco, or Asda.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and a bunch of the local markets.  All depending on what I need and how lazy I am!

Tesco - if Roy is driving me to go shopping for himself (or for a dinner we're cooking together)
Sainsbury's - much of the shopping as it's near my gym & down the street a bunch of blocks
Waitrose - also near the gym...for specific items
Local markets - when I'm being lazy

Sainsbury's-I can walk to the one in the city centre and drive to the superstore one.
Tesco-If hubby is driving as I've yet to tackle the drive myself!
Once I get the nerve up to drive to it,  we will do our weekly shopping at Tesco as the prices are better there for the items we purchase.

Home delivery - Sainsburys - although I might switch back to Tesco now that I found my clubcard!  We have a small Tesco & Safeway nearby so get most of our additional bits and pieces from either of those.  Safeway (Morrisons) has really good prices on meat, fish & cheese.

We have no car, so even though Sainsbury's in on the expensive side, we go there because it is the closest to us.  Plus, I do like their selection.  At least now we are collecting "Nectar Points", so we get something for paying a bit more.

I'm a Sainburys person.  The quality of fruit and veg seems to be better than Tesco (at least in my local stores).

I've flirted with Waitrose, but to be honest when I did an online comparison if my weekly shop between the two stores, Waitrose came out between £15-20 more expensive for the same items.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

We're really lucky that our small village has both a great butcher and green grocer - that's what we use for fresh stuff.  Actually toying with the idea of getting our milk through the butcher as well . . . he sells smaller jugs but the way our family gets through milk we'd need to special order or something.

Tesco for staples things. I really dislike ASDA - the store is always dirty, the food is *blech* and, mostly, they're Walmart. Nope, not gonna do it.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?
