Stick with Morrisons, they're always good.

Except for their in-store bakery items... i think their pastry, especially on their hot pies, is pure disgusting.

Damn. This thread makes me depressed. We had a Safeway, which was great, which was bought by Morrisons, which was ok, which was sold to ASDA and just opened this week. I have been waiting for the crowds drawn by the new-ness and the big name to die down before I tried it. The Safeway was my shop cause it had the best selection. Now I am stuck at Dunne's which does not have half of what I used to get at Safeway and the produce is woeful. I had been hoping ASDA would have been at least as good as what Safeway was. From this thread it sounds like it will be terrible!

At least give them a try.  I love our local ASDA and haven't had any major problems with their delivery service.  Ours has always been an ASDA, though -- no changeover from another store...so maybe that has something to do with it.  ???

it all depends on their employees (management) really the Asda at my end the service is crap and I've been at the store to see how crap some of the employees behave.

Heard on the news today that a lady found a dead rat in a jar of gherkins from ASDA! They offered her a lousy hundred quid and a xmas shopping spree. I hope the shopping spree was for Tesco!

Ooh, no I really like their bakery. They do good cookies.
