I went to Taqueria yesterday. While it did not make me weep with happiness, it was pretty darn tasty.
I had Tamal (not sure where the 'e' went), Gordita- thick corn tortilla split with chorizo, refried beans and salsa and a side of black beans.
The tamale was melt in my mouth heaven... until I came across the raisins (hydrated, so they were more like mushy grapes) and almonds, I am guessing that was part of the pork picadillo?

Ah well, just pick those bits out.

The Gordita was okay... the corn tortilla was nice and so was the teeny bit of chorizo.
The black beans were soooo good I wanted to lick the bowl clean!!
Ambience- The place has the taqueria feel to it rather than a sit down nice Mexican restuarant with Mexican music and I do believe Mexican staff! Vegetarian options- double check the ingredients with the staff because there may be some surprises! Presentation- The food is served on tiny plates so not very conducive for those who like to mix their food. Location- It's out in Notting Hill near Portabello Market (but I'd probably stick with street food at Portabello Market if I was in the area on a Saturday) Price- Not on the taqueria cheap side. I paid £9 for my three sides. They also stock all their goodies from the website from beans to spices to chiles to chocolate.
But NO burritos!

ah, my hunt continues
