Feeling nauseous
« on: April 26, 2006, 10:30:51 PM »
I feel so sick to my stomach. I'm making myself sick thinking about the flight. I get airsick...

Oh also...I'm worried because I requested a window seat and I'm worried if I gotta go potty i don't want to disturb the people next to me but every other time i've ever flown I've flown isle seat and always got up for the person if they needed out so im hoping they are as polite as I am. I got a window seat mainly so i can control the window sheild. Last time I flew during sunset and the sun was directly in my eyes while I was trying to nap...plus 0o0o you can lean against the window to nap...napping sitting streight up is hard.

Last night I got my last minute stuff...razors, shaving cream, shampoo, tooth brush, paste, mouth wash & bath poof.

This time next week I'll be in the air flying to NY...I land in NY at 3:46pm & leave at 6:15pm. I'm hoping it will be a smooth plane transition.

Omg I've got the worst stomach ache ever...just keep over thinking everything and going so long without seeing him has made me so nervous to see him again. I REALLY want to see him and am so excited ...it's not a bad nervous.

On either saturday or sunday before work I'm gonna have mom take me to get my bra's, Then on Monday James is home so I'm gonna have him take me to the laundry mat so I can do all my laundry, Tuesday afternoon I'm gonna go get a fill on my nails and get my eyebrows done and then come home and pack and then I leave at 5am Wednesday morning!!

Okie I'm done sorry I just need to write something out on how im feeling or I'm going to explode lol

Awwww it's ok reeeka!  You'll  be fine...don't stress yourself out so much worrying about the trip (although I'm sure it's all you can think about right now).  Drink some 7-Up, Sprite or Coke - maybe that will settle your stomach a bit.  Try to do something to take your mind off everything - watch some mind-numbing TV maybe?  And just think, it'll all be over in only 7 more days....(I like your turtle ticker!)

I love window seats- I haven't flown in an aisle seat in years. (And I also love leaning my head against the side of the plane- it seems so unnatural to just have your headrest when you want to nap.)  On my flight to the UK last year I had to get up to use the bathroom twice and it wasn't a problem.  Most people in aisle seats know that people in their row will want to use the bathroom after all and are prepared to be disturbed a few times.

My trip is coming up soon so I'll be thinking about these kinds of things next week...I'm also getting a connecting flight in NY but it doesn't leave for Manchester until 10:00pm!  (And they're planning on serving us *dinner*??)

Hope the preparations continue to go well- only a week to go! :)

Aww thanks...it's so nerve racking. I've drank 2 cans of sprite lol it's not working.  I've got work in like an hour so I'll be fine once I get to work.  I'm glad you like the ticker! I do too! I'm obsessed with turtles. ;D

I had a window seat to Vegas but we had 3 seats and it was just me and my sister so we didn't bug anyone if we had to get up and go and I could stretch out and relax. I hope they expect to get up ...cus I'll hold it as long as I can but i'll eventually have to go lol.

I got a creeked neck from my last flight because when I did try to nap it went to the side lol and just wasn't comfortable. I can't wait to be able too lean up against the wall! Do you know if when they seat people on the plane by that catigory on your ticket if it's by seat? Like everyone who has A goes on sits next to the window? or no... I hope that makes sense lol

I hope your trip goes smooth!

Do you have a seat number?  If it is a seat like 33A then yes, you are next to the window.  If it is not then it's a bit harder - depends on what plane it is.  Not sure if that answers your question though!

Yep, a seat number with the letter A next to it (like 20A) will always be a window seat :)

you can check out the seating map of your plane here if you want to know where your seat is (or where the good seats are if you don't have assigned seats yet)- http://www.seatguru.com.  You just need to know the type of plane you're flying on (which will be printed on your confirmation/itinerary most of the time.)

Yeah it's 14A and I'm flying a 757 from sd to ny. I was just wondering like when you first get to the airport and they are about to board you they call a certain group of people first and they get on and get seated then so on and so forth. I'm wondering if it's by seat letter...like all the people on the window seats get seated first...so on and so forth.

0o I know which seat I'm in...I have window seats from SD-NY & NY-London...I made sure of it. I just want to know the way they'll board you is by your seat # or is it random...

ahh.  Most airlines board by rows instead, from the back of the plane on up (after they've seated first class and people who need special assistance)

0o okie so it's not by seat letter (A/B/C/D)...So I could get on the plane and have to get on my seat with all the other people already in their seats  (the people sitting next to me) :-\\\\

You would *think* that most airlines board back to front (and probably still do), but last time I flew American they boarded front to back!  Talk about a traffic jam...  ::)  This was for a cross-country domestic flight.  I know that United boards by zones, seating window seat passengers first, then middle seat, then aisle.  I have an aisle seat near the back of a 767 and 777, and with the way some people bring everything but the kitchen sink, good luck me finding a place for my hand luggage...the joy...  :P

I'm sure in a few weeks that I'll be feeling it too.  One month exactly out for me and I can feel the nerves simmering to the surface all too quickly.  Hang in there!

front to back?? Craziness, hehe.  I know some airlines have come up with their own special ways of boarding everyone...but I think it'll always be a bit of a madhouse to get everyone on the plane no matter what they do :P

I flew American and United recently and they both seated front to back.  RIDICULOUS!

Wow... just a week left!  It may be a little rough getting there, with the sickness and all the nerves seeing him again, but remember all the fun you'll have too.  You'll forget all about it when you see him and know that everything is going to be okay.  The rest, when you're there, probably won't matter!  Take care, feel better and good luck!   :)
