a job interview!!

Hooray!!!  When is it?  Keep us posted! :)

Oh!  And my 'Happiness Is' - my weekend started last night!!!  I love working only 3 days each week & having 4-day weekends!  And this is the first 'normal week' - where to an extent, my time will be my own.  (I still need to get things done which was the point of going to part-time.)  But the first week, I was cleaning like a mad woman, and then last week we had company & Steve was off work too.  Now it's just me at home with two full days (before the real weekend begins) stretching before me!  Now, just to keep myself from farting around too much time online... :P

Happiness is your wee boy's face upon seeing his birthday cake that you spent till 4am decorating.

A fudge brownie base, with a devil's food top, a black marzipan road going uphill to a victoria sponge house with a Nice biscuit roof, doors, windows in a green garden complete with paving stones and wee people and a couple of cars (automatic of course). On the bottom level was a white marzipan electrical substation with Electricity. Danger of Death signs, black liquorice laces (power cables) running up to the house attached to cinnamon stick poles complete with triangle electric warning signs. He was amazed. The look and excitement on his face will stay with me forever.

Incidently, he is so into warning signs, danger, electricity etc that it was in his playgroup report. He knows what all the signs are and takes great pains in pointing them ALL out. If you spoke to him, you would assume his daddy was an electrical HSE inspector, which I am not.

But I think I need to plan ahead for next year. I do a theme cake for my kids every year based upon what they are into at the time.

Yes, I'm about to send DH out (in the rain no less!) to do the shopping, while I'll be soaking in a hot Lush bath reading.

This is life as it should be! ;D

That's a freaking awesome cake! :)

Happiness is....deciding to drive down to Oxford for the weekend rather than taking the train, and turning out to be the only ones of our group that managed to get home again!  :o
