Spending time with my family...

We had a great time at my cousin's house celebrating her son's fifth birthday.

Several of my other cousins were there, my aunt, we brought our puppy who was playing with my cousin's dog...

We came home, snuggled up in front of the fire and we watched a made-for-tv kids' movie:  "Mom Has a Date With a Vampire."  I love those movies.

My puppy is curled up at my feet and tomorrow another fun day of pumpkin carving, finishing Halloween costumes and cooking is on the books.  I'm so happy right now!

Being the first to wake up and having a cup of coffee in the still quiet house.

And our local zoo has "Boo at the Zoo" where the kids go trick or treating around the zoo and they have games, haunted train rides, ect. Had a great time at that. Today is pumpkin carving and on Tuesday we are taking DD "trunk or treating" at a local church where the kids go around to the different cars and trick or treat.

Having someone "get" you without having to spell every nitty gritty detail out.

And then having them still like you.  ;D

I have two childhood girlfriends where it's like that.  It's very special...

jessica singing....she constantly sings around the house. It's cute when you start waking up in the morning and you hear faint sounds of "b-i-n-g-o" or "mary had a little lamb"  :)

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

The kids love it. I kind of miss Chicago, we lived in Kenosha right across the state line, but worked in North Chicago, not far from Waukegan I think. I loved the Navy Pier, we went quite a few times, had the best chili ever in a restaurant there.
