That is really cool - I'm so impressed with this.  I am considering getting some even though I cook most of my Indian meals from scratch - it would be a huge time saver when you just don't have the energy to do everything.  I have tried the ready meals and the pastes for this very reason and seeing as they're just mediocre I've stopped wasting the money.  But this looks so much better!

I have also just found this blog (http://onehotstove.blogspot.com/) with the most amazing veg recipes so I'm way into those right now - but I don't expect that to last too long given my overall laziness   :-[

Yes Courtney definitely make the whole lot and freeze it - homemade curries taste so much better the day after they're cooked!

so, thanks to Courtney, yous have all seen what these packs look like, right?

Do you think i have any chance of being able to take one over to the US when i visit my parents?
I dont want them to take it off me, thinking it's drugs or something!

Oh definitely!  Does it have a label or packaging along with it?  Just keep that along and it should be fine.  Easiest would be to put it in checked baggage but I think even in hand luggage you should be ok.

oh fun, I went in yesterday and had them make it up for me.  Such  nice people.

My daughter loved watching them chuck all the spices in and even cutting the chili's while we watched.

Delicious.

Interesting! We rarely eat at Indian restaurants because I find them too expensive and the food too oily. My Mom's family lived in India for several years so I've been taught many curry recipes and am told they are all better than restaurant stuff. But I'm stuck in a rut and might use these as inspiration to try some new stuff.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Update-I've tried two of the curry packs so far and they are really delicious!  The korma is nice and mild with good flavour.
The do piyaza was too spicy for our girls-but hubby and I loved it.  Next order I will ask them to leave some of the chilies out.   I'll also be ordering extras for my in-laws.
Thanks again Q-G for posting this!  :)

Ok, these look really good. There are no restaurants (good restaurants that is) like this around here (Alabama) so could someone recommend a good one to start out with? Nothing really spicy but with a lot of flavor, we love bold flavors. And I love lamb so this would be perfect!

Any recommendations would be appreciated. I will order one on Friday just to try out.

My boys and I went to Raffi's in Sudbury last week.  I went with a Rogan Josh mix, it was good.  I also bought some really yummy indian starters that were made in shop.
