UK Christmas/Holiday Season Rollcall!
« on: November 19, 2006, 03:32:08 AM »
So who's travelling over to the UK for the holiday season?  Tell us about your flight path and holiday plans!

My parents are taking me from home up to Toledo, Ohio, on December 16th, where I catch a flight to Chicago, and then over to Manchester.  DF is picking me up from the airport and we're heading back to Scunthorpe.  We're planning on a trip to Haworth and York, and some other UK places yet to be determined...and over to Disneyland in Paris if we can make it...and he promised me to a pantomime  :D  I leave on January 6th.

28 days and counting!

Boring Christmas at home here in the UK.  Maybe a few day trips here and there, maybe an over nighter.  Sounds like heaven to me and I can't wait!

Either Christmas in Cornwall and New Year's in Wales, or the other way around. We haven't decided yet!

I have almost the exact opposite plan.  We are leaving York on the 16th, flying out of Manchester to Chicago, and then on to where my parents live.  They were nice and bought tickets for us, since my last two Christmases were in England (even though I didn't really live here).  We are spending Christmas in the States, but will be back home for NYE!  NYE where my parents live is just too boring to face, but here we have a party we promised to be home for!   :)

We will be staying here in the UK for Christmas We will be going to the Inlaws for the whole day. Thanks Heaven I get along with my MIL& FIL they are ever so nice to me all the time.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] I havent spent Christmas with my Family since 2002.  [smiley=sa3.gif] I came to vist my then DF for the first time Christmas 2003.  [smiley=smitten.gif] But since my DH owns his own bussiness we cant go home for Christmas. because the week leading up to Christmas is the busiest time of the year.  We dont do anything for NYE other than spend it together at our house by ourselves.
