Two things:

1.  We got Cat Deeley plus the silly commercial!!

2.  Art Garfunkel is a "Fanjaya"!!   ;D

Omg, that was the WORST so far. They all sucked. Though thank god that one guy ditched the hat. I hope Lakisha doesn't let this lose her confidence and instead lets this fire her up - if she gets all fired up she will be amazing. Jordan is the dark horse in this, instead of it being Lakisha vs Melinda it may be Jordan vs Melinda. Glad to see Simon call the surprise, and Melinda looked so much better without it - like, not putting on any act.

Can't believe how bad they were though. What's the theme for next week?

Cool!  Must've skipped that part (I did an insane amount of fast forwarding this week!)

Next week is the big charity thing - two episodes with a bunch of guest stars.  According to my DVR, they will sing songs about "compassion and hope".  Unless he can step it up a notch or two, Phil the Automaton is a goner.

I actually liked AI last night, of course there were a few bad performances though other than that I thought majority of them were ok. obviously not as good as the original artists though. I may be biased though last night's show was my Favorite show so far I love Contemporay Country Music.  [smiley=cowboy.gif]  [smiley=smitten.gif]

[smiley=bleck.gif] I really had to grit my teeth to get through last night. I wanted desperately to turn it off, but had to be sure my little Blake got through.

I don't like to look at Phil.

I like Art Garfunkel. He's a little weird. I like that.

Yep. I'd really like to go out for a drink with him. He's odd in a very good way.

Phil will go before Blake.  If not, I will never watch another episode of American Idol again.  EVER.

He embraces his oddness and has no shame.  That's what I like about him.

I can't believe they edited out Chris' comment about the VT tragedy and Simon's reaction!

I cracked up when Art Garfunkel said he's a "Fanjaya"!  I love how he disagrees with Simon - great stuff!

What never ceases to amaze me about AI (and now pretty much EVERY copy show) is "America voted - you are going home" - the end of a dream... devastation...

but SING ONE LAST TIME!  Especially your WORST song that got you voted OUT. ::)
Hollywood, CA -> London, UK 2004
London, UK -> Long Beach, CA 2007

Best 3 1/2 years of my life!

I agree.  At the very least they should be able to choose from ALL the songs they've sung, not just the one that got them voted off.

And one more thing. 'Nasal' is not a style of singing.

No, no! I'd never even dream of doing that! It was that nasty weaselly Chris who claimed, "Nasal is a style of singing." It would be like Sanjaya saying, "Talentless is a style of performing."  :P
