It seems I spoke too soon (and judged too harshly) regarding my colleague not organising anything for my birthday - he just handed me a card signed by everyone and said there’s a cake to come later :).

It was pretty cool :). Inside was 3 layers of normal sponge with chocolate icing in between and under the fondant icing :). It all melted a little bit though because we were outdoors at the beach and it was about 30 Celsius :P

1.) Ahhh this week has felt LONG.  :-\\\\

2.) Bottling up homemade beer and wine this weekend. Then getting more on the go.  ;D

Bit quiet in here  :)

1.) Long ass week.  I need a holiday!  [smiley=sleeping2.gif]

2.) Making up a yeast starter. Which means beer brewing is in the immediate future.  West coast IPA  :)

3.) Gardening again this weekend  [smiley=daisy.gif]

4.) Making Dan Dan noodles for dinner. Love Sichuan peppers.  ;D

5.)  Saw the trailer for Bill and Ted's Face the Music. And it looks so bad. I can't wait! I'm wearing my Wyld Stallyns T-Shirt today!  [smiley=devilish.gif]

Hi everyone :)
  • Very busy & exhausting week at work...glad to see the tail end of it.
  • Ordering in a curry for dinner tonight, my fav. ;D
  • My best friend's birthday is on Sunday and I can't wait to see how she likes her gifts!!
  • Husband's birthday is next week & his gifts were delivered today. He ordered them on my credit card so no surprises but still not letting him open them until his actual birthday!
  • Had a monitor delivered last week for working from home. It's made a world of difference & I'm honestly not sure how I spent the first 2+ months of lockdown working on my Macbook screen...seems so tiny now.

1.  Payday!!
2.  Work has been super busy (lots of overtime, too £££!!!), so I've not had any time to hang about the forum
3.  If my colleague remembers to bring me the champagne yeast, I am going to try my hand at making elderflower wine this weekend!
4.  Left the house early this morning to queue at Starbucks drive-through before work, but when it got there, it was shut.  It used to always open at 6am, but no idea what they're doing now.  But surely 7:30 am is not too much to ask?  I desperately wanted a proper (barista-made) coffee before work today.
5.  Now that Nicola has said it's ok for couples who live apart to now meet each other, my OH is coming up for the weekend!  :)

Yay @Albatross! I know you are excited!

1. Bit the bullet and ordered custom Venetian blinds from blinds2go. We’re supposed to take 35 working days to get them but they showed up in 3 days! They are beautiful and fit perfect and I’m so freaking happy!

2. Thanks to Nicola, we can reopen next week (Dentists) but there’s some sort of confusion going around. Due for a group call today to see what’s up. Hoping we can start booking emergency appointments next week after a massive clean up.

3. Our long awaited beloved video game, Last of Us part 2 is out today! Downloading in progress 😍 Gamer geek mode activated lol

4. Repainted the stair banisters, handrails, and skirting in jet black. They look brand new. I did them all by myself and am feeling accomplished! Husband redid the bathroom walls. Next is restraining the steps. Eek.

5. One of my favorite YouTube makeup artists is pregnant after 15 years of infertility. It gives me a little hope that we can be successful in trying for our own.

I hope everyone has a smashing weekend. It’ll rain here nonstop but I won’t let it ruin my weekend  :D
