I too like the fact that at least Jadine will say what she thinks to someone's face.

I don't. In my book, that's just rudeness masquerading as honesty.

What does everyone think about the budding romance between Katie and Paul?

I like both of them, so I think it's kind of sweet! But I'm sure there will be a task-related argument at some point and it'll all end.

Am I the only one getting a bit disillusioned with The Apprentice (US and UK)?  I really enjoyed it up to now, but it's starting to feel like The Real World or Big Brother -- people are being judged on personality rather than how well they actually do the job.

I just feel its a bit too "produced" now.   :-\\\\

I particularly enjoyed the shot of the 'wildflower' being wrapped around the tree... while the woman who owned the house watched in patient horror.
Jadine - uh, no.  She's a loudmouth and an instigator.  Only when you have something to offer, aside from 'that idea SUCKS', would be helpful.  She repeated herself so many times it was making me scream, and it was ALL negative.  Yes, they were BAD ideas, but she never offered an alternative; only criticism.
Naomi definitely should have been stronger, and not so obviously relying on ... Chris?  Though I admire the fact she remained calm throughout... particularly dealing with Jadine.
A bit different than the other (f*cking ignorant f*cking this and that...) project manager.
"I had nothing to learn as a project manager because I didn't do anything wrong.  I did an awesome job."  8)
Yes, darlin', you keep telling yerself that.  ::)

LOVE Katie ... even if she was a bit daft (or just late) with her ideas... I'm not convinced there's any romance; I think the producer's have chosen to edit that way.  I think those two were just having a good time as they shared the same opinion of all the goings on.  But hey, if there is, good luck to 'em!  Better luck than Sayid and whats-her-name!

I think Katie will make it to the final.

She's my favourite, too! But because she's become such an early frontrunner, something tells me she won't win.

Poor Sophie. Of all the contestants, she's probably the one I would get on with the best. But there's no way she could have won. Poor Sophie.

Yes well... must be tough for a physicist not only to MAKE chocolate candies, but sell them as well. :)  She was definitely out of her element; but smart to realize at the end (when she said "Now that I know, I don't want to be a part of it").

I got a kick out of where the winning team's 'treat' was - All Star Lanes - "where all the celebrities go" - which is downstairs in my old office building, and where I had my leaving do!

Cool! Is it a nice place? I mean, that 'treat' didn't sound nearly as spectacular as some of the rewards in the past have been. What do you think?

I certainly wouldn't compare it to a helicopter ride over London followed by dinner at some fancy place; or a river cruise... I wonder if Sir Sugar's lowering his 'treat' budget for the winning teams ;)
It is nice, and they do have lots of 'celebrity'-type events there (premiere, dvd release parties like the 25th Anniversary of Grease, etc.);
I like it because it's spacious, open and clean... there are two alleys, one private (the one they were in last night).  The bar area is nice and open which is the main reason I like it; I get claustrophobic at most pubs after awhile...
It is also over-priced and overly trendy, but... it is cool for a slightly special occasion.  And they play American oldies (60's - 90's) rock and pop after the dinner hour.

I just watched it tonight and I have to agree about Sophie....sorry to see her go. As for the other woman (forget her name) that was very cheeky to put a sticker on a little girls shirt and then ask if she wanted a treat and then looked to her parent's for the money (the Dad called her on it)...that was terrible. AND then to say "I am not here to make friends, only sales". Not nice.

On a separate note, what is with Sir "A's" side kick, Nick.....gosh his face is always so "pinched". He looks like a miserable git, yes its TV but his face is frozen that way. I really dislike when people try to intimidate based on their status.  ::)

Its early days but I think Katie (haven't warmed to her at all) has a very good chance of winning.

LOL. Funny you should say that as it came up on The Apprentice: You're Fired this week. Do you watch that? It's on BBC2 immediately after The Apprentice. Anyway, this week Nick was on the panel. Adrian Chiles told him that his "pinched" face always looks as though he's trying to pass gas without anyone noticing! There was a photo collage of his various "pinched" faces, and it was pretty funny. He had a chuckle about it, so I don't think he's really a miserable git.

No I didn't see it, forgot to set it to record. I still think he has had that face for so long that its just permanently that way.  ;)
