The poor credit card took a serious beating while we were in the States so we have been trying to scale back now that were back in the UK. we just got a few Christmas goodies at the store but for the most part some much needed groceries.  ;)  :)

Two £15 iTunes gift cards (right now they're 10% off at Tesco, but I don't how long the offer is on), Eclipse dvd, Shrek Forever After dvd, a book light, The Very Hungry Caterpillar book and soft toy set, Quick Play Battleship and a man's scarf. And there's still more to buy before Friday.
Let them eat cupcakes!

Yesterday, I bought a birthday card & some chocolates for a friend at work.

Also at Holland & Barrett, I bought some milk thistle capsules, some Sambucol (to have on hand) - oh & I actually bought the chocolates there (Green & Blacks) because they were on offer.

A birthday card for my dad which is always a challenge as he doesn't like sports, boats, gardening, beer, outdoor scenes, and he's not "the greatest dad ever!", etc. etc.  :-\\\\  I did find one finally--a funny one that shows a person lying on the psychiatrists couch with the caption, "Dad, they say a father is the most important person in a child's life.  I guess it's all your fault, then!"  Or something like that which pretty much sums it up.   :D  Hope my dad doesn't take it too seriously.

We bought a new microwave today - just a basic one for reheating & defrosting stuff.  It was a little bit more money than what we've got in the past, so hoping it lasts longer than the cheapie Sanyo ones we've had before.

a boat load of groceries and stationery needs from Walmart
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
