American Idol 2008 [SPOILERS Posted After Friday's Show]

as for the geeky, tie-wearing, curly haired guy, I loved what Simon had to say to him when he was cut.  If I had been in that position, I'd have walked out of there absolutely flying!  How cool was that?

I wasn't a fan of car-boy but was weirdly upset that he didn't make it.  I also like both boys at the end and thought someone else should've been cut.  That was my only real opinion though.

I actually sort of liked him and I was GUTTED that he got cut.

Car guy kinda bugged me a bit.  I don't know why, but he did.  Of course, it didn't help that my husband kept saying "It's the male Jewel!  He's Mr. Jewel!".

Mmmmm, yeah, the Australian guy, he has a nice rugged manly look to him. 

I felt bad for car-boy, too, but his verson of Stand By Me was horrible!  I could have done a better job. 

The only thing I was wondering about was.. who gave out blue drinks/candy to so many people?  A lot of the singers had blue tongues.

LOL, I noticed the same thing.  It was hard to take them serious with those blue tongues.

I did like him. However, once he got a bit cocky and refused to sing with the band and assumed he was still going to be put through even after that awful performance of "stand by me", I stopped liking him

Yes there are some terrific singers this time around. I like Amanda Overly (the biker nurse chick). And Carly Smithson, although I hear there's a scandal brewing as she previously had an album released -- but it only sold 300 copies!

We were sad that the young blond lad got kicked out he was just stressed and who can blame him living in his car and no one there to support him he was dead tired and is just a kid who need a helping hand and he could sing.

My wife was upset he got kicked off he deserved a chance.

I think its because we have 4 boys and he did not look much older than our oldest. no kid should be homeless and have no support he did really well until the last part.

We haven't seen those yet! We've had all the boys' performances, and we get the girls tonight. But I hope I'll agree with you!

All I have to say is ... is it just me or does it seem like this season it's Michael Johns amid a sea of little boys who are the vocal equivalents of ready meals? That Danny Noriega makes me want to throw my television set out of the window. He epitomises everything I hate about ... well, about everything. Cannot stand the guy.

Bring back Carboy!

Yep, he was the one who butchered Jailhouse Rock. HATE. HIM.

Guitar guy was OK. I forgot about him (not a good sign).

The thing about Jailhouse Rock boy is that he's awful but he makes me smile.

I also cannot stand the one with the sort of whispery speaking voice who everyone freaking adores, but I told dh last night that I can see him winning.

I know you don't get the whole shebang for a few days, I just wanted to voice my un-spoilery opinion.

I am SO in the I Hate Danny Noriega club.  He's got crazy eyes!  Plus, it really irks me when contestants get super defensive with Simon when he's right.  Oh, and his clothes were all wrong.  All.  Wrong.
