This thread has made me want nachos!

Have fun Vicky!  DH and I took off Monday last year to watch the game and had a great time (except the Bears lost, which sucked!).

Vicky we couldn't find nachos either, we're just using lightly salted Doritos instead. Salsa, cheese, jalapenos, a few min in microwave, quac and sour cream on the side and presto!
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

-The supermarket had no nachos

Dont buy nachos ready-made!   Make them yourself with tortilla chips and cheese and whatever else you like on them!

To be honest, I thought this is what everyone did for nachos...I've only heard of them being ready made at places like movie theaters and sporting events.

You can buy 'American-style' nachos in the ready meal section of most UK grocery stores. I don't think you'd find them much in the US but I could be wrong.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Now I'm confused! I didn't know you could buy ready made ones either! When V said the shop was out of nachos, I thought she meant the actual corn chips .. maybe that is what she meant?

Anyway I think I'm going to be asleep before the superbowl even starts tonight!

Oh, ok. I've never seen them in a US supermarket, though I haven't really looked because we do always just make our own.

She may well have meant just the corn chips. I just know I was very surprised to see nachos in the ready meal section. I know M&S does them, and I'm pretty sure both Sainsburys and Tescos do, too. They are usually part of an 'American' line of stuff. I think potato skins and a few other things are in that section, too.

We never buy them. I'm not even sure how I noticed them as we usually don't even go down that aisle!

Thanks.  Someone's bound to say something to me at work about it tomorrow.  At least I won't look like a complete dope.

I'm now desperate for nachos. Thanks guys.  ;)

May have to rework this week's menu and nip to the shops for beans, tortilla chips, and an avocado. Think I may have everything else....

I don't even like American football - how did I end up on this thread??  :P

Me either.  I hadn't even looked at this thread till I just saw it and wondered when the stupid game actually was.
