Thanks!  :)

You can get inexpensive cameras that are pretty good these days!

Currently looking online for a new camera.  ;D

Oooh, good! Another one!

Thanks!  :)

I want a new camera, too. I have a great SLR but film just isn't worth it these days. Our digital is fine for landscapes and such but really hard to capture expressions of people - especially moving, active kids - as there is a delay on it. I press the button but it takes the pic about a second later than I want.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Have you checked the settings?  Some digital cameras can be tweaked to take pictures without auto focusing.

Anyone else have sporadic issues with uploading photos to Blogger?
Every other time it seems to get stuck (on the 'uplaoding' window)...  >:(

A wee trick I found with the digital cameras that are slow to snap is to hold the button down half way while you are looking for your photo. When you get it press the button all the way. What this does is that it sets the focus you want on the subject you want, so when you are trying to get snaps of kids or moving things it really helps. Once you get the focus then you can snap. However, you can't do rapid shooting.

Thanks for that tip Stella - I'll have to try that, too.

E, I've had loads of problems with Blogger in the past. I know I had that problem with uploading (for another blog I don't do anymore) but I can't recall what I did to fix it... I'll try to remember and post back.

I haven't updated mine for a week. I have my photos, I just haven't put them up yet. I'll probably get to it this weekend.

I started mine on January 1st so I've got over 90 photos up so far. I've been enjoying it.

Really nice pictures, shell!
What kind of camera do you have?

And I see you're a 'fan' of wordpress?  I started to toy with it once, then gave up  :-\\\\  I know many people love it.

Thanks!

I'm using a Canon IXUS 60. Far from anything fancy. But I've found that using Photoshop to increase the sharpness after shrinking the image and correcting the contrast and color make a quite a difference to the photos.

Wordpress is a bit awkward to use. I only stuck with it because I couldn't be bothered to start somewhere else after the first week! lol

I'm starting to feel inspired to maybe do this! The downer is my camera is a bit bulky to carry around all the time. Oh well, I guess that's part of the challenge!
