I've mentioned these before, but now they are in Poundland and I've got a picture :

Tastes exactly like a Heath Bar!

I've also seen it in B&M.  I used to eat soooo much of it (when I was 90-day-visiting Paris in 2003).  After I returned to the US, I had to quit cold turkey, and I haven't fallen off that wagon... yet.

Ahhh, pop tarts. They can be had here, you know. Exceedingly expensive, but available. Our corner shop has a limited supply that they are selling for like 2 quid a packet (not a box).  8)

So, are they pronounced like a Texan would say "damn" (ie, day-um) or ....?

I've always heard it pronounced like 'dime'.

They used to be called Dime bars in the UK, but were rebranded to Daim a few years ago so they were the same as in other countries.

I still call them Dime bars though because that’s what I know them as.

Anyone remember the Dime bar advert from the 90s with Harry Enfield (“I like Armadillos!”)

The home good stores have them at regular price. Not Tesco American shelf prices.

I've seen them here and there, but so far I've managed to walk on by. If I was condemned and having a last meal, I'd definitely have the warden order me some.

Wish ours had an "American" section!   Do they have "Brown Sugar Cinnamon" flavor?

Speaking of which, the great sadness of frosted Pop-Tarts (the only variety I crave) is they are not vegetarian thanks to the gelatin. The good news is, there’s this pinch hitter:

The bad news is, it appears to be unavailable in the UK.

Yeah.

Every now and then Vitacost.com sends me a massively good discount coupon - it pays for the shipping if I buy enough stuff. We just had a box sent over, full of stuff like taco seasoning and peppers, shampoos, toothpastes, herbal teas, etc., that we can't get here.  Thankfully, they carry both Natures' Path and Annies toaster pastries - we got into those as soon as the box got here! But they don't have brown sugar cinnamon flavor. (Don't like the maple.)

Sigh.

Dude, I respect your vegetarianism, but I could design a better box.  That looks like something you would eat to increase the amount of fiber in your diet.
