Hi Ladies been a long time since I've been on here!  We are doing very well my driving test is in a month!  Still can't find a job it's sh*t over here for that!  Well up here anyway!  But we have something really wonderful that we found out!! We're pregnant YAY a little Romantic movie baby:)  aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh it's perfect! Just thought I'd share our news hope you all are well!!

Hi Digitalsea..I know what you mean about being in your relationship and wanting a career and not just a job...I for so long felt conflicted like I was living half a life...wanting to be in the UK with Jason but at the same time living my life in the states..I felt stuck in the middle. But Rynn is right you have to live your life. You can't just put it on hold waiting. Do something that makes you happy and enjoy it. It may actually be something you may be able to continue to do over in the UK...it is hard to feel like you don't really belong somewhere right now..that is what Ldr's seem to do.

As for me, my time at the BF's was fabulous and now I get to play the waiting game - he will be here Nov 20th-Dec 4th BUT I am going back the 27th or 28th and hopefully for 2 months! THEN we will see where we go from there ;-)

That's exciting! I wish I could take 2 months off from work (or could work from home/England for 2 months). I've run out of PTO already, which sucks.

So, my horse is officially sold. (Both and :\\\'() I like his new owner, though, so I think he'll have a good life. And I just deposited the money in the bank (yay), which will pay off my truck (enabling me to sell it for funds to move!) and pay for my property taxes this year.

Other good news...
- my family member has agreed to give my one kitty a home! Just have to figure out a way to get her to NM...
- I booked plane tickets to London!!!!!!! I'll be there Nov 20 - 28, and can hopefully schedule some job interviews and scout things out while I'm there. Ideal move date is still January 2010, but that depends on how saving money, job hunting, and house renting all go in the meantime.

EQ, congrats on selling the horse.  I know that has to be a big relief, even though you are sad about it too.  My move date is Jan 2010 also...

Lots of changes going on at the company DF works for.  We work for the same company, but he works for a different subsidiary.  The subsidiary was sold today and he was offered a deal to stay with the company I work for...we've known about this sale for some time, but it was all hush hush until it went through.  Hoepfully this will come with a salary increase and bonus! *fingers crossed*

I am under 50 days until the wedding...had my bachelorette party this weekend and it was a blast!  I have my bridal portraits Thursday and can't wait. 

I hope all of you are doing well.  I will keep checking in for updates and keep you ladies updated, as well.

Thanks!   I'm slowly getting used to the idea of not going out to the barn (as often, anyway, I'll probably still take lessons on another horse until I move), but the idea of not automatically spending half a paycheck on upkeep is awesome.

Good luck on the job front for your fiance, and yay for being moving buddies!   Maybe we can get together post-move and compare notes on how things are going.

I love this topic and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one out there. I've only met my boyfriend, Lenny, last May and since May I can't tell you how many times I've watched The Holiday. It seems to be just about the only thing that gets me through the lonely nights. LOL. My boyfriend has two little girls, about the same ages as Grahams.     
I've really enjoyed reading all these comments. It's very comforting. I look forward to making some friends here.
It's only in the very early stages right now but I hope to be moving to Aldershot by Spring. Lenny is in the British Army, currently posted in Germany. He hopes to be posted to Aldershot by Spring and hopefully I'll be joining him.

By the way, someone suggested on this post watching the movie "If Only"...I watched it tonight. Ugh, how sad is that movie?? And I'm from Ohio too, which hit home even more.
