Stupid work actually making me busy today :(

Josy!! I think that is so brave of you! I'm very jealous of your abilty look at the situation the way you are!! I am such a huge baby I couldn't do it! I really really hope that he is just taking time to figure things out in his head so that he can talk to youlike a grown up and not be an ass.  I do that sometimes....just back off for a minute so I can straighten things out for myself.  It's got to be so hard for you though especially now when you need him the most. But stay strong everything happens for a reason crappy as it may be at the time:)

Toff...hmmmm going to have to think about that one.  It is funny that David was like uuuuh duuuu yes. haha it's ok he's your toff and that is what matters:)

And Alan...baby you are no Wimp I am sure of that....you are all man it's ok if you are a bit sensitive sometimes that's why I love you and am marrying you  ;)

For clarification:  Alan, can girls be toffs too?  Or is it usually only used refering to a man?

and... guess what I finished up?   xmas shopping for the potential maybe future in-laws! GO ME!

The word of the day?

It's not used very much I'm afraid, certainly not round 'ere any road

"Toff" to me would cunjure images of public school boys, top hat and tails or rich spoiled brats with no social skills outside others like them...but always boys but thatts not to say there aren't girl toffs just my opinion!

Just a word rarely used...

I got his mom these sewing pattern things that she apparently likes, a book for his dad and a Colorado calendar for them to share :)  [smiley=elf.gif]

LOL I will NOT tell David your definition of a toff!

For some reason I just ate a huge handful of candy corn and I feel like I'm gonna barf.  [smiley=puke.gif]

I love that you felt like sharing this with us! :P

In the interest of full food disclosure then, I'm eating an O'Soy fruit on the bottom peach "yogurt". Not bad. But I prefer the non fruit on the bottom kind (except you have to get them in those mini sized 6 packs mixed with strawberry ones). Grf.

Beth - you are too healthy!  You'll make us look bad! Eat some of that candy you took a picture of the other day!  Josy, M&Ms are a much more reasonable snack :) Although I am glad I am not the only person who enjoys yogurt with NO fruit on the bottom. For some reason the slimy fruit chunks make me gag.  (I really must learn to be less forthcoming if/when I move to England...)
And another semi-random piece of information - "yogurt" is my favourite word to hear David say.. I cant even spell it a way that would be like how he says it, but I love it.

Jamie - you are going to give yourself some horrible ebola virus from eating bad food and then they wont let you into the UK!!

Alan - He's not a school boy in uniform and has developed social skills, so no, I dont think you would call him a toff, at least :)
I still dont know what Northampton is like, but since its half-way, yes, we will have a double date there one day!

btw, Jamie what do you think about this 78 degree weather?!  Ridiculous if you ask me!  Where is our snow and reasons to wear cute scarves??

Thank you Jamie...I don't feel very brave...I think Alan's word of the day best describes me today "Crybaby" hehe

Carey so proud of you...I only had gotten his mom something I didn't shop for his dad and his dad's girlfriend...but I will still get them something no matter what happens...and hopefully Jamie is right and he just needs space and he will come around...if not then all I can say is I gave it my all...

I have a question what is the difference between a toff and a tosser?

In England you would be eating a bag of toffee's and so you missed an opportunity to use todays word "toff"....hahaha

I know how tenuous it would have been but an opportunity missed all the same...

LOL a toff is tosser with a rich daddy?

I always thought that tosser and wanker were kind of interchangable.  Just a generic term for idiot/loser/someone you dont like.  ???
