Sorry Jamie! I think you are! ;) I am off because the students are off. I think they'd make us teachers come in if they could.

BTW, do any of you watch "Samantha Who?" It's got the hottie from Men in Trees on there now as Samantha's bf. He's veggie and just went to meet the parents. Of course, the parents had no idea what to feed him and it was a disaster! I always think it's funny how people just don't get that being veggie really isn't a big deal. I don't eat meat. That's it! Same as if they didn't like peas and carrots. LOL It was funny, esp as a veggie who's had it happen (though I didn't walk out on dinner!)

I just did some Christmas shopping online at Old Navy.com.   I only wear Old Navy jeans and they are half-off today if anyone needs some!

I put up my tree last weekend (yeah, I might be a bit excited).

OMG last night my drunken family called David and left him a very long, very hilarious message.  It really made him feel involved and was adorable what a kick he got out of it, although I dont think he understands drunk American accents very well :)

I'm off to my dads for Thanksgiving #2 today and I m taking LOVE ACTUALLY for us to watch.  Poor Dad!

Sorry you are stuck at work Jamie!  Is everyone there or just a few people today?

GO VEGGIES!!  We will take over the world soon enough. I'm with you Beth - I wouldnt know how to cook meat if I had to.    Oh, and how are your post-marathon feet doing today??

Carey- my feet are fine. It's my legs, knees, ankles, hips, back, abs, arms, etc that are sore! Work at the running shop tonight and tomorrow is going to be interesting.... Have fun with Tgiving2 and Love Actually! I may watch it tonight (after Ghost Whisperer of course!!)
Oh, and I wimped out on shopping... I went ahead and ordered it online with free shipping! Delayed gratification (should be here next weekend) but something to look forward to! I also bought a couple of books I've been eyeing, but which didn't add up to $25 on amazon.com for free shipping. :) Figured why not! My part to helping the economy! LOL

I had to work today, so don't feel so bad, Jamie.

And Beth, hope you're relaxing this evening....

....I just got a veggie cookbook off Amazon....AND I bought "A Christmas Tribute to Metallica" for Ian's stocking...lol.  I can't even describe the CD, you'd just have to go to Amazon and take a listen.

Anyone else do any shopping today?  And Josy, hope you had fun at Disney!!! :)

CKG sorry you had to work today. I did go into the running shop job for a couple of hours. But now I'm home watching some hockey on tv and drinking my first Beaujolais nouveau! :)

CKG- still in pain! It's moving into new areas of my body, too- like forearms and shoulders! I'm so excited I get to work 5 hours at the running shop today, too! (Can you hear the sarcasm??) But thanks for asking....

Anna- jealous! I was hoping the iphones would be on sale, but no luck with that yet.

Carey- how was Thanksgiving part deux?

Ok- funny story- another dream in fact! I dreamt that I ran into Hugh Grant walking around wherever it was I was supposed to be in my dream (America, because I was telling him how I was going to move to London and wanted to live in Kensington or Notting Hill because of his movie!!) I had my camera with me, but ti was some new camera that I couldn't get to work right! He just kept standing there with me while I fiddled with it and babbled about how I liked his movies. He was wearing a nice black wool coat, too and looking h-o-t! I remember I told him that I especially liked the films he did with Colin Firth because they had "incredible chemistry"?!?! I also said that I loved the Bridget Jones movies a lot. I never did get that damn photo I wanted, though, because I woke up first. BUT when I came out to my living room and turned on the TV and guess what was on!! Bridget Jones 2! LOL *cue theme from Twilight Zone!*

Now if the bank dream means I will soon be in London getting that account for real, does this one mean I will soon meet Hugh Grant for real? ;D

Ummmm....if you get to meet Hugh Grant, then you MUST take a photo....and make sure your proper camera is on hand.  lol.  Hooootttttt..... :D

And relax today, Beth....maybe soak in the tub?  I might be joining you in the soreness department because I spent a few hours this morning trying to rake the bizillion leaves up in the backyard, then walked down to the post box.

Now, I'm on a mission to put up our Christmas decorations....lol.

I'm sorry you are having a rough time Brittany. I've had a really bad last few days in the LDR department too and actually went over in my head what I would say to him if I broke up with him.  :-\\\\  I hate it when I get like that.  I hope you are doing better today.  David and I just had a long phone conversation (just chatting about regular things) and I'm feeling better for now.  Being apart is taking its toll on me also, even though I have the next trip to look forward to, I cant help but think that it will be trips here or there for years to come and continual emptiness between them. I guess only time will tell, eh?
On a happier note:  Thanksgiving Part Deux was lovely.  The best green bean casserole ever, but I dont think Dad really liked Love Actually :)

LOL Beth - I dont have any dream analysis for that one, but I like it!

I'm trying to decide if I am brave enough to go to Target today... hmm...

Carey, did you make it to Target? I need to go there tomorrow, I think. I'm sorry you're having a rough time with the LDR lately. :( It WON'T be forever. I remember something someone told me a long time ago when I was missing someone in a LDR, she said that I can be happy that I have someone I am so passionate about to miss like that! I'm not saying it as well as she did, but hopefully you get my point....

A guy from Newcastle came into the running shop today. Made me a little sad for England! But I was proud that I was able to nail his accent! LOL

Ok, something random, Notting Hill is coming on in a bit! I think the dream about Hugh grant was just me predicting the tv schedule. BUT if I meet him, I will make sure to get that photo. For the moment, though, I'm watching the end of Pride and Prejudice. As much as Keira Knightly gets on my nerves with her fake pouty lips, I do love the upside- 3 hours of Matthew MacFayden.

Mmmm....Colin Firth.....I love him more than Hugh, I have to admit.  And my love for him might even be greater than my love for Jude.

Thanks for posting the photo, Beth. :D

(and btw, ladies....I'm Patty)

Ha! I originally posted the wrong link. That was meant for a friend I was chatting with who didn't even know who Colin Firth was?!

Of course, now Bridget Jones is on.... should I watch that or hockey?!
Decisions.... I wonder if THIS is what my horoscope meant:

"You're feeling a bit torn between two options, one of which is easy and the other of which feels like the right thing to do. This is definitely the day to go with what's right -- no matter what!"

Here's the Colin picture again, though, just for fun...
