No, Carey- snow is not normal here. The students were going nuts!!

Yay for December and all the visits! I get to stay home (well after all the working). Though, I will get to go visit my niece after New Years in Virginia! She'll be 2 months old by then. :)

I'm having a dreadful day at work. I messed up something (didn't email a parent in time) and the parent wrote a nasty note to my principal. Due to the holiday, I wasn't able to meet with my principal about it and when I tried today during my old free period, she was in a meeting. Now I got a terse "see me at 9:40 tomorrow" email. I wrote back and told her I tried, but now it just makes it worse. I'm dreading meeting with her to be honest. It was my mistake, but still. I've never gotten in "trouble" before. Just super nervous. And now I have to wait till tomorrow! Gah!

Oh no Beth! That is the worst when someone says they want to talk to you, but you have to wait for the talking to!  Instead of arranging a time to talk, just TALK to me already!  I am sure all will be just fine - is the prinicipal usually pretty ok to deal with?

Alan! Emergency! I need some inside info about pantomimes (??).  Apparently David's mom thinks I need to go to one/see one while I am in England instead of going to the theatre as was originally discussed.  Arent these pantomime things for children?  Does she think I need the dumbed down version of the theatre!!? ???

Pantomimes are fun and I'm not sure many adults just go to see them it's usually adults taking kids but I could be wrong
But I'm sure she means well its a big thing over here the christmas pantomime and they get some "famous" (?) people acting in them
Go to the pub first is my advice and get ready to shout "he's behind you" Aaaawww no he isn't "Aaaawww yes he is"

Oh the fun...

John Barrowman is in Robin Hood! :D

Last night Tim and I were cuddling on the couch together and talking and he talked about not only having a future with me, but about having kids! Specifically, that if he knocked me up RIGHT NOW, he'd be in his 50s when we raise a teenager, which is better than running after a toddler when you're in your 50s (I'm 29, he's 38).  Basically, I think we decided that we want to have kids within the next 5 years.  Holy Crap! That's like, HUGE for him.  And then I reminded him I'm not having kids unless we're married, and he told me he remembered, and he remembered what ring I wanted, he just never has time to go shopping without me!

Beth, I hope you don't get in too much trouble!  I hate it when parents go to the principal of schools instead of attempting to contact the teacher a second time.

Oh, and BTW, my real name is Rebecca, I just use Anna online ;) (and answer to both!)

I am glad you found them homes, Jamie.  I had a little breakdown yesterday thinking of finding new homes for my kitties if I move... Ugh - why cant one thing just be super easy and painless??

So we're going to lunch next week, right?? :)

That's awesome news, Rebecca!!  Do you know how long you are staying in England yet?  Let the man go shopping alone ASAP!

Rebecca! That's great!! How sweet, really! Talking of kids together is always a good sign. :) Don't forget to post a picture of the ring once you get it!!

Jamie- sorry about the kitties. That's hard. :( Like you said, at least one is with "family" so you can keep updated and maybe even visit it sometimes!

So, the meeting with my boss went just fine. She knows me well enough to know I'm not just being negligent. She's actually the best principal I've ever worked for and I have to be honest- I think I was more worried what SHE would think of me more than anything! Luckily she was still friendly and complimentary to me. Phew!

And, after our super long, unnecessary department meeting after school today, I'll be able to go running in the daylight! Carey- have you got in gear yet, too? I'm gonna keep nagging you till you do! ;)

Ok, tea time (PG Tips!) Later girls.

Why aren't you taking them with you to the UK?

hehe.  I think we've decided I'll stay until the end of January so I'll still have a few months left for the year for more visiting, which we will either do as another long block or in smaller trips.  If I'm staying through "the holidays", leaving in January makes the most sense....and moving it to the end of the month because travel at the beginning will be busy, and this way we'll have at least one more long weekend to go away together with, too. (he gets one 4-day weekend off/month.  I *think* we might be going to Scotland for the Dec one!)

Personally, I don't want to go home at all, but I don't want to not be able to come back later in the year, and well, even if we do get engaged soon, I'd still have to go home to pack everything!  (and I want to get married in PA, anyway)

I did 30 mins on the eliptical machine thingy last night!  wooo!
I hate actually running b/c ... shut your eyes Alan... all the bouncing around hurts my boobs! So the eliptical is great b/c your feet never actually leave the ground, but you still get the cardio benefits.   AND since I work at the YMCA, I get to do it during work. Bonus!

That's cool Carey! Whatever works. Plus the working out at work is a bonus. Wish I could do that. The kids might not like it if I'm stinky though! I had to do elliptical 2 years ago when I had a torn tendon in my foot (and had to wear a boot/cast thingy). It was the only thing I could do to keep me from going mad. I hate it now, though, because I associate it with my hurt foot! Plus, I prefer running outside. I used to go to the gym 4-5 days/week. Now I just can't due to time restrictions. I miss weight training, though....

I didn't take the kitties because after blood tests and shots and quarantine it would takealmost 9 months to get the kitties taken care of....and I think it's mean to put them somewhere for that long and once they are confortable and I am forgotten to rip them out and put them in a kennel on a plane.  I don't know just thought it to be easier.  They are with really great people though so it's ok.

YAY lunch next week mmmmmm Blue Bonnet  hahaha

the boys are taking me out for margaritas at lunch on Friday we'll see how that works out....after 2 margs...this is what I think about your management style hmmmm maybe not a good idea!

And Carey...I'm telling you there is NOTHING easy and painless about moving 4500 miles....even if it is to be with the man of your dreams:)
