I joined sparks people sister site baby fit, i dont want to loose weight but hoping to have a very healthy and fit pregnancy, and thenafter wards when baby is here shift any excess weight.

I love spark people and am loving baby fit too.

I joined there, but then heard of FoodFocus and went there instead.  They have pretty good tips etc.  I just prefer keeping track of what I'm eating and not having to mess about with converting to US etc.   ;)

I'd like to lose 3 stone this year. It shouldn't be so hard, because I know a ridiculous amount about nutrition and exercise.... I just never seem to be able to follow it. I'm a sugar addict. :( I'm also a little concerned about actively trying to lose weight. I'm just a couple years out from a decades-long history of eating disorders so weight loss is a mixed bag of emotions for me.

I'm going to see what SparkPeople and FoodFocus are like, and probably use one of them to help me out.

My goal is to maintain my health by having a healthy diet balanced with exercise and not to focus on the weight. If only I could give up my love of chocolate! Then that would make me sad....

I go to the gym 4-5 times a week so I'm doing good on the exercise front & Dh & I are back on a LO GI diet. my Dietitian is the reason I weigh myself once a month just so I know I'm on track with what she expects of me in 2 months time she wants me to lose at least 6-8 lbs. I absolutely love chocolate  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=smitten.gif] I would also be very sad as well if I gave up chocolate completely.  :(  :\\\'(  my Dietitian knows how much I love chocolate she said it would do me more harm to go cold turkey off chocolate so she said I can have a small piece of chocolate once a day. I asked Dh to make sure I stick to her rule an he does a really good job. I do have to say every Wednesday I have more than a small piece of chocolate thats my cheat day.  ;)  ;D

I'd like to lose one more stone.  I've joined a gym and I am really loving it and working out like a fiend...Nathan the Nazi trainer was very impressed with my stamina seeing as how old I am  :P  I dont really have a problem with food or eating the wrong things. I'm pretty strident on that front, much to the irritation of the other half who has no willpower! ::)

I love that chocolate is 'professionally validated'. I will continue eating chocolate daily then without guilt. Yippee!   ;D

My daily allowance of chocolate is very small my exact amount thats is allowed is a 1 small chunk of a normal Galaxy bar.  ::)  :P so a normal Galaxy bar with no cheating lasts me 5 days.also the reason my Dietitian allows me to have my chocolate is because I was used to having a Galaxy bar everyday. so she knew if she made me go cold turkey it would do me more harm than a small piece of chocolate everyday.  ;)  ;D

I'm aiming for quality over quantity and thanks to Mrs R, I am achieving my goal!  ;D

That's cool that your dietician is being realistic and is not into torture of chocolate-ness.  ;D

I am very motivated as I don't want to go back home to Scotland FAT!

Don't have a scale here and am not going to buy one (it probably wouldn't work anyway).  A good guess would be that I need to lose about 2 stone.

I improvise pretty well and have a tae bo/jump rope/ weights routine.  I do the aerobic stuff 6 days a week and the weights (1.5L water bottles) every other day.

I've got 7 months to lose it so I've got no excuses!
Love life in Scotland.  Love retirement.  Love travel.  Life is good.

I would like to lose about 10 pounds before visiting home.  I'm about where I was when I moved, but I would like to look a little leaner.

I've been using the Couch to 5k program and doing pilates on the non-running days, and I enjoy that.  I just need to cut down on the beer and the junk food that I inevitably want during the week.

Also, to add to this, I've signed up for a 5k so that I have a goal for the end of my training process, which I think makes it a little easier.

My next goal is to quit smoking for real, and not just justify my smoking when drinking thing.

weesoul (or anyone),  have you found a type of scale that is accurate? My electronic scale is like "weight lotto".  If you don't like the weight it gives, try again until you get one you like.  I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond (stateside) and all the electronic ones seemed to be like that.  There was up to a 15lb difference between the brands.

Well, I had lost about 10 pounds, according to my scale at home (and my trousers are  falling off, so I must have lost some, anyway!) but I haven't been very good lately with diet or workouts, so I think I might have put a few back on.  :( I vow to get motivated again, just as soon as my friend goes back home.  ;)
