Mrs. R - is it an easy walk from the station to the cafe?  I google mapped it, and Meg will have her (new and improved) Google phone, so we should be okay, I think.

Yep!  When you pass through the station ticket barriers, head straight out the exits in front of you, turn left and walk uphill (slight incline uphill) to The Headrow (not too many blocks away).  The art gallery is near Town Hall (which is unmissable - the big Victorian building with the clock tower, the columns and the lions).  There's a statue/sculpture outside the gallery - The Reclining Woman by Henry Moore.  Walk up the steps, through the main entrance, and the Tiled Hall Cafe is immediately to your left.

I'll meet you at the train station!  :)  Meg are you coming on a train through York?  If so you want to send me the details and possibly save me a seat? Please?  ;D

Pers, are you coming on the TransPennine that Meg is on or on the Northern Rail?  If you're on the NR - I'll look for you starting at Hornbeam!  So happy to hear you're coming!  ;D

Sadly I have no patience, so probably a fast train with Meg.

I'm not sure that Meg is coming through York?  As per...

E, I'll meet you at Leeds station - I can get the 11:05 Transpennine direct from here, which gets in at 12:23.  If I wanted to change at York and get the same train as y'all, I'd have to get the 10:05 from here!  I love you, but I love sleep more! ;D

Unless I'm misunderstanding, which is not unlikely either!  :P

Maybe not!  She just usually does on her way to Leeds.  Oh Meg dear, what train will you be on?!

Oh yeah, maybe she's just on one of the fast ones (like you said) that doesn't stop at a zillion places along the way.

LOL!  ;D  C, all trains south go via York - it's just that the Transpennine is direct and just stops there, whereas the East Coast Main Line trains from Darlington make you change trains in York to get to Leeds.

S, I'll be on the service from M'bro that gets into Leeds at 12:23 - I'll text you and let you know what coach I'm on, and save you a seat!  I think it gets into York just before noon - 11:55, maybe?

So much for my plan to sleep in on Saturday - my coworker who does our evenings and weekends is off sick again, and I'm going to have to get up and go in at 9:30 to open up the library so that the library assistants can hopefully hold down the fort from 10 to 4.  I warned them today that they'd be seeing me in PJs and with bedhead! :P

Does this mean we'll see you in PJs and with bedhead too?  :P

Anyway, we slow Northern Rail train folks will meet you fast Transpennine train folks at Leeds train station.  For any others arriving by train - please post your train arrival times!  If we're all getting in at the same timeish we should meet in the station and walk together.

Oh, absolutely!  Maybe this summer, when the weather warms up and we can get the BBQ out - I can kick DH out for the weekend (FIL lives ten minutes away) and we can have the run of the place!  It's a small house but we'll have a king bed, a double futon bed and several air mattresses.... ;D
