How awful; I am so sorry.

Sadly, I never thought I'd have something to post here:

My youngest nephew, who turns 11 today, has just been diagnosed with Diabetes... so he's now joined his older brother, who was diagnosed at 3 (he's now 14).
And their mother is not surprisingly using this information to not only fall apart, but blame my brother.  Again.
(they're going through a horrifically nasty divorce, and I can't believe it gets worse and worse)

A good friend of mine from work left on holiday this morning with his wife and their 13-year old son.  Minutes after they arrived in Bulgaria, his wife collapsed and dropped dead right there on the spot.
That's all i know at the moment.  :\\\'(

Oh my gosh. ((((((((((Hugs!!!))))))))))))

Oh no!!  I'm sorry.  Not really sure how she can blame this on your brother though. It doesn't work that way with diabetes, its not like she gave it to him, its autoimmune and triggered by the enviornment.  Even if the father has diabetes, its only a 3% higher chance of the kids getting it. Crazy.    Poor kiddo.   :( :(

Well, as we're finding out more and more, apparently in her world, she does NOTHING wrong.  Never has.  Forget about the fact my brother and she both got tested when the other boy was diagnosed, and found they both carry the gene... because it's been in my mother's family, that's one more thing to disparage our entire family.
The whole thing's just bad, gets worse... and even with court orders, she puts the kids smack in the middle.

Instead of going to a competition today, my horse choked on his food - for the second time.  :(  Thankfully, it's not technically life-threatening, but it can have pretty bad side effects, so I'm rather concerned that it's happened twice in a month now.  Hopefully more vet work in a few weeks will provide answers.

The "blaming my brother" bit sounds too much like my SIL.  Anything wrong with their kids, she's blamed on our side of the family.

As for me, the dryer tried to burn up, the computer had a burning smell, the car had to be fixed and the cat got put back on steroids---all this past week.  I had to buy a new dryer, replace the computer, put the car in the shop and the cat goes back to the vet on Monday. The car will probably be going back to the shop next week.  When it rains, it pours.
