My sister just emailed me and told me that my Brother In Law is bleeding from somewhere no man should be bleeding from- and when he called his doctor for an appointment this morning, they called him in urgently.  Now I'm just waiting to find out what's going on....

Just found out that a former work colleague has breast cancer and started chemo today. I have been reading facebook messages and knew something was up but didn't know exactly what it was. It is times like this you want to be able to help in some way- and it is always difficult to find a way to be helpful and but that difficulty is just magnified by distance.

Jewlz and phatbeetle, very sorry to hear both of your news.

HG, I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully, you can find a way to reduce the distance and let he know you are thinking of her.

phatbettle know that you are doing something for your sister--- just knowing you are here. Just drop her a note, give her a phone call--let her know you are here, it is a lot. I had a moment last night that I emailed my sisters and brother-- going through something that I can't talk about on here at the moment--- just knowing I could email them and that they cared helped a lot.
