Well, I'm trying to get off to a healthier start today, but yeah, if it comes down choosing between chocolate or a cigarette, I will definitely choose the chocolate!  ;D I'm not too worried about gaining weight. I lost some weight before quitting, so that's helpful, and even if I gain it all back, then I can work on losing it again once I get healthier. After the first few weeks, exercise should start to feel like a bit less of a burden, so that will help. Also, I hear that it takes about a year from the time you quit for your metabolism to turn back to normal, so there is always next summer, if the weight refuses to budge before then. I can only imagine how proud I might be on my 35th birthday next year to be smoke free for over a year and healthier than I was on my 25th birthday.  ;)

Thanks for all the encouragement. It's amazing how much the tablets are helping me today and I've made it to nearly lunch time, so... wooohoo! Day 1 is always the hardest, and it will just get easier from here.  ;D

Down 0.7 lb this week- which means in a month since seriously trying to lose weight by healthier living, I've lost 6.5 lbs and 0.5 to go and I'll be out of this stone bracket!  :)

Congrats PB!!   ;D [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Today is Day 1 of not smoking. I was sort of anxious about today all weekend and ate a few things I know I shouldn't have and a bit extra. But today, I wanted to be kind to myself and help my body detox, so I brought an apple to work and plan to munch on grapes and celery this afternoon instead of sweeties, biscuits and crisps. And I'm drinking LOADS of water. I'll be so busy going to the toilet, I'll never have time to think of smoking.  :P

Congrats Jewlz keep up the great work!!  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I did 2 hours in the gym today man I'm knackered my new gym routine is freaking brutal I will sleep good tonight!!  ;)  [smiley=sleeping2.gif]

Yeah & yay!  ;D

Feeling kinda yucky with dodgy tummy, but thrilled to have done 112% of my calorie burn / exercise target last week. I am getting my routine back, do or die.  ;D

Good for you! But don't put too much stress on your body if you are feeling sick.  :-\\\\

Oh, I think it's just the after effects of weekend gluttony and the hideous Walkers Argentinian flame grilled steak (vegetarian!) crisps last night. My body is asking me to feed it healthy things, I think!  ;) :P

Hehe... my body certainly isn't asking for healthy food! I had a maple pecan plait for breakfast with my coffee. Yum yum.  :) Suddenly the apple on my desk doesn't look nearly that appealing.  :P

I suck and staying consistent about working out BUT moving 10 minutes a day is my goal - moving at all ;-)

With my wrist.forearm.shoulder aching there was no heavy cardo for me (I tried-nope) so yesterday I went for a 25 minute walk.
Then I stretched for 10 minutes or so...

Something is better then nothing - start small.  I think if I had a goal it migth be easier like a marathon but then I really want a treadmill oh crap just start small!

;-)

Sorry your shoulder is still hurting. That's crap!  :( At least you were able to do something, but make sure you take it easy until your arm starts feeling better. And book an appointment for crying out loud! Just because you didn't like your last GP doesn't mean you won't have a better experience with someone else. And that's me putting my foot down.  ;)
