Great, actually!  I think I'm the only one of my friends who didn't break down completely yesterday. ;D

UP: DF and I are going to our home town to do wedding planning stuff over the weekend!
 :D

IA: Dealing with family/future inlaws while we're in town and everyone's opinion about everything with the wedding.  :P ::)

UP: I'm leaving for Chicago in a couple hours!!

IA: Boss is out of the office until I leave and he's not going to be happy to see me swanning out of the door when he comes in.  Plus I'm not done with everything for him today. Blah.  :P

My son started kindergarten today.
Glad to hear the first day went well.

UP-Like AbbyNormal, today was the first day of school.
IA-It's the first day of school-and with that comes added stress to our 8 year old.  While the one truly mean girl has moved  :D she finds socialization very difficult.  She comes by it naturally, I'm dreading having to mingle with the Mum's at the school gate.

UP- I got permission this morning from the letting agency to change the stupid key electric meter and its horrible tarrifs to a normal meter with normal tarrifs, with its direct debit ease and lack of worry of running out of electricity  :)

IA- I couldn't get an appointment until the 24th of September, so I have to keep topping up the key until then!  :(

I actually prefer meters.  I hated that whole estimate-for-direct-debit crap and then getting hit with this, like £600 bill for actual useage a year or so later.  Fecking ridiculous!  I'd rather just pay more now to not have a surprise like that come my way!

Ahh, but I don't mind giving them the actual reading and adjusting my bill at the time of paying.

I actually wouldn't mind the key meter if it gave me a good rate, but the tarrif on it is really really high.  Just doing some normal things yesterday, i.e. boiling some tatties and taking a shower, and not a long one, clocked over £2.50 on the meter.  Did even try and watch tv or use the computer or use the heating.  At that rate,I'd be paying really hefty monthly sums.

Down:  My husband kicked my dog out of the house because she's been sleeping on the kid's beds.  She sneaks from her pet bed to their rooms when we turn off the lights.  Sneaky little devil.

Up:  He stripped the kids beds, hoovered the whole house.  My work for the day is essentially done!

I've been in a bad mood all day and I'm not sure why?

Took a nap then got an email from husband with some good news and I'm feeling a lot better.

I hear you there.  Nothing like having to make a good first impression at 8am. :P

UP: I told my landlord about L. today and he was very understanding and said he'd help me out however I need as long as he gets the rent.

IA: Having to do this in the first place.

I agree! That happened to us. It sucks.
