Haha! Thanks guys. I was a little worried because I had read somewhere on here how someone had booked a one-way on United and wasn't able to check in until they got to the airport. So I went on my booking confirmation page and the confirmation # worked on United's website. I was able to change my seat and I have a window seat for both legs of the flight. AND I emailed myself a confirmation from United so I can print that out to take along with me.
And now back to packing...I am such a good procrastinator!
Oh btw, check your baggage limits...anything over 2 bags and they will charge you $200/ bag!!!

I made it! They let me through and she only asked me a few questions about my husband, and then congratulated me! Seriously. I am always so nervous at the Border, I get myself all worked up, palms sweating, heart racing...today I just breezed through. I mean I did spend numerous hours researching and applying for my spousal visa so I do feel that it should be this easy when you have the Visa in hand and are legit according to the UK! Yeah!
Atiflights worked for me. Let me know if you have any questions!

Has anyone actually flown with atiflights?

I found this clause on their website:

NOT INCLUDED:
- Airport departure or entry taxes not included in ticket taxes. Passengers must pay in cash on location.

I'm wondering if this means you will be hit with a huge tax at the airport that must be paid in cash?

I'm just extremely skeptical because I checked a flight on atiflights.com with American Airlines and the base price is $313.50 with $28.60 taxes.  The same exact flights on Orbitz (very reputable) are $1243 with $28 taxes.  Not trying to scare the pants off of anyone but I just don't see how they can sell tickets for $900 cheaper and I definitely don't want to book the flights and then get to the airport only to hear the customer service at check-in say "Oh yes, you owe us $900 in airport taxes times 2 tickets so please fork over $1800."

No, I imagine that this is a warning for if you are traveling to or from an airport with an entry tax attached. Like how Hong Kong airport charges 50 yuan to enter for the airport construction.

Jodiej just flew with them (as this thread states) and she had no issues.

Yes, Jodie just flew with them and was successful. I bought my ticket with them yesterday so I really, really hope it's all ok. I trust that it will be.

Yeah I totally missed that post somehow (maybe it's the shandys again!).  I just had no clue what they meant about departure or entry taxes and didn't want to get hit with a big fee at the airport counter on my day of departure.

I still can't believe the prices are so low!  I'm happy with paying less than $700 instead of $2400.

I was skeptical at first as well, but I read through everything thoroughly and once I bought my ticket found out it was through United. I then checked the United website and it has me as a passenger so all is a go! It's a crazy good deal!

I am finding the same huge price differences. Hearing about other's successful use of the site is boosting my confidence!

We just flew Chicago to Manchester via Frankfurt yesterday - it was United operated by Lufthansa - two one ways for $905 and that was booking less than a week in advance at atiflights.com.  The prices are truly unbelievable but it IS for real!! Lufthansa was great by the way and they offered free beer, red and white wine, and brandy and Bailey's after dinner in economy class which I thought was pretty rare.  Only problem was all Lufthansa computers were down worldwide yesterday so our plane was an hour late leaving Frankfurt (that and Frankfurt airport is a pretty crappy place to sit for five hours).

I talked to another American woman on the plane with a British husband and two young sons - I wondered if she was on this forum?  I thought about asking her but she looked a bit frazzled so decided against it.

I don't know anything about that.  I booked my tickets through the ATI site.  I got an email itinerary that said United Airlines and I flew in a Lufthansa plane.

Maybe there is an airline with those initials but I don't think it's associated with atiflights.com, as they are just a website that sells tickets, like orbitz.com, netflights.com, priceline.com, etc.  They located in a teeny tiny little town in VA, not far from me.
