I was just checking out the site to see what the deal is.  However the biggest issue that I've found is that you cannot fly from the UK to the States and then back again.  Your starting leg of the journey has to originate in the States it seems.

Maybe I'm wrong and if so I'd love for someone to show me how to get back to the States for Christmas via a really cheap route!

the airline is ATI. I work at an airport, and ive seen ATI flights a few times, not often but have.

ATI is an old defunct airline not in existance anymore. You're probably getting it confused with Alitalia.

I found the same issue when I checked for tickets home (to the US) for Christmas out of curiosity.  It gave me an error that said the originating city must be in the US.

Just a word of caution when using ATIflights... My husband booked his one way ticket from orlando - LHR for $400 which is amazingly cheap, however when he got his United confirmation code and checked on their webiste he saw that for the first leg of the journey (orlando - washington) he was only on standby..... He's since upgraded to economy plus for about $80 so is now confirmed but its worth checking with the airline themselves!!!!!

I checked my booking class and is says 'S'...is this standby or standard?  I have confirmed seating so I'm thinking this does not stand for standby.  Yes?  No?  I looked all over the website but I couldn't find a guide to the codes.

I saw that on mine as well but my ticket is confirmed with the airline so it must not mean standby.
Follow your bliss.

Yeah, I think the booking class refers to something different and its a coincidence that it's an S. Both my DH's flights were down as booking class S but it was only the first leg that was on standby, i think it must have said something on the website when he signed in. If you're flight is confirmed and you have a seat then I wouldn't worry :)
