For real. That one left me depressed for the entire night afterwards. As did Green Mile.

Thanks for the tip Ladies just by the preview of 7 pounds when it was on I could tell I would probably need a tissue or 2  but after your advise I think I will have a box of Kleenex ready just in case.  ;)   The Green Mile I was a blubbering mess!!  [smiley=bigcry.gif]

Go ahead and giggle, but "edward scissorhands" still makes me weepy. My girl. Fried green tomatoes. I agree about steel magnolias. Oh, And "the miracle of marcellino" is a sobfest and a half. Real blub fodder. But i am not a fan of films where children die.

My dog skip - after I watching it, my mother started sobbing and said "you're going to go away to college and your dog is going to die while you're gone!!!!!" Ummm, yeah. Thanks mom!  ::) :P

Marley and Me - my dog (14 yr old cocker) died while I was at college and DF thought this would be a good movie for us to go see a few weeks after.  :\\\'( :\\\'(

On the old-movies-on-TV front: the saddest I've seen lately was "Penny Serenade" with Irene Dunne and Cary Grant.  With those two, you expect a screwball comedy but it's a real weepy.

I've not seen this one yet but it was on the other night so I recorded it.

As a kid I cried when I watched The Land Before Time! When Littlefoot lost his parents.

World Trade Center

My Sisters Keeper

Pursuit of Happiness

more will come to mind later I'm sure.

How is The Holiday the most depressing film of all time? Because it's such a crap film?  :P

The Holiday and Love Actually are uplifting cheesy romantic comedies!

But I do agree with the PP who mentioned The House of Sand and Fog.... ugh - this one takes the cake!

HA depressing but turn cheesy romantic - it still makes me sad...as it has been said in the long long romantic thread its SAD because that crap doesn't happen...

You can't just jump on planes and change things that way - thats why it is sad to me <shrug> maybe not to others
