Aquila, I play fiddle, too (Irish trad), but need to get my fiddling back up to par as I've been lazy about it lately.
Haha, tell me about it.

I used to play all the time back in the US. I played with the uni Celtic music group once a week, went to a local session once a week AND practiced for fun in my spare time.
Unfortunately, I've just not had the time now, and really wish I could do something about it.

Weekdays are generally out because I'm so knackered from my commute. When I get home, all I want to do is eat and go to bed. I could probably play on the weekends, but there's so many house chores to do. And the walls in my flat are so thin, I am pretty darn sure the neighbors could hear me, even with my electric fiddle on headphones.
I really would like to find a session, but I don't know any, and on top of that, I'm not sure which ones are good and/or welcoming to newcomers, especially rusty ones.
