unmarried partner proposed civil partnership visa

I think you're mixing up two different visas here:

- The Unmarried Partner (UP) visa is a 27-month visa for people who have lived with their British partners in the same country for 24 consecutive months. You do not qualify for this visa because you and your partner have not lived together for the last 2 years.

- The Proposed Civil Partnership (PCP) visa is a 6-month visa for same-sex couples who wish to form a civil partnership (i.e. get married) in the UK and then live together in the UK afterwards. This is essentially the fiance visa, but for same-sex couples and once you are married you will need to apply for an FLR(M) visa in the UK to be able to stay for longer than 6 months.

You are not 'unmarried partners' (according to UKBA), so you are simply applying for the Proposed Civil Partnership visa.

Don't be, but I understand that feeling. Your whole life is on the line and you are not in control of it. I hated the waiting part. I checked my email every five minutes for a couple of days and it was exhausting! When you get your email of approval you will wonder why you stressed over it. When are you moving over?
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

May you find hope in the darkest hours and focus on the brightest days free from bitterness that grows you may not judge the universe.

I wouldn't start worrying just yet though, because the consulate was closed for Thanksgiving from the 24th until the 28th (so no one was looking at your application then and none of those days will actually count towards your processing time).
