Congrats!  18th to
You have your proof of delivery...emails do get missed from time to time, check your spam folder and if you have it set to auto delete then turn that option off. But I really wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, it's not in there.  i got one when i applied for my visit to marry visa back in july; the day after it was signed for is when I got it.  no good!

Bookworm, congrats; randomly; where in boston are you from, and where are you headed to?
for me it's basically brookline - hampshire

I'm actually from Gardner, in northern Worcester county. I'll be moving to Westhoughton, just outside Bolton and Manchester.

Congratulations, bookwormfaery!

"As for your application, LA is the slowest of the three Consulates this time last year they were taking 80-100 days to process non expedited applications and for the priority system at this point I'm fairly certain they're trying to clear the backlog of Settlement applications that have piled up because of the T4's...I wouldn't worry just yet."

St. WebyJ indeed.  :)

Although sad to hear it was taking 80-100 days last year, it's kind of a relief to hear that it doesn't necessarily mean our application will be rejected.  Our situation is a bit weird (maybe...whose isn't, right?) because my husband (the UK citizen) has been the stay-at-home parent for the last 3.5 years.  I was the one working.  But we just listed everything as joint income (which it is/was).

OK - update!  As I was writing this post I got an email that our visa is approved!  Gosh, I can hardly believe it!

Congrats to everyone who just got their visa!

I'm still paranoid, but I managed to get my reference code and serial number bar on my envelope in time before it was sent out. I'm so, so, soooo scared.

WebyJ, thank you SO MUCH ... we seriously could not have done this without all your wisdom.  This forum made a very difficult process *mostly* tolerable ;)  I hope you receive 100 fold the kindness you put out into the world.  Really.

Congrats, sylviakahlo!

Yay yay yay yay!

I just signed up to this forum yesterday but I really appreciate the information and support from everyone.  WebyJ, your information has been very helpful!

Good luck to everyone!  It is an intense process (be it 3 days or 100).  I hope it is something that strengthens the relationship you are moving for.  I brought my husband over to the US on a fiance visa over 6 years ago...we were apart for about 4 years during our dating relationship before that.  I think that process and separation was useful in strengthening things between us - kind of cut out a lot of the baloney that can come with new relationships!

Timeline
Applied online - July 7th
Biometrics done - July 20th
Mailed application - July 21st
Acknowledged - July 26th
Desired travel date - October 5th
Approved - October 6th
New travel date - time to re-evaluate that!

Wait time: 52 business days

Sweet mother of god...I GOT IT, TOO!  I can barely type this reply to send CONGRATS to everyone...especially my visa-twin sylviakahlo, and to WebyJ for all the advice so far.

To everyone waiting...be sure to check your Spam folder.  That's where mine went.  Best Spam Ever! :P

Y'all heard it first as it's too late to call Bermondsey!
