Ugh, well I can't say that was much of a surprise.  Though Cher singing a) a song she's already sung, and b) a song that made her cry the first time she sang it, is blatant manipulation and seriously lame.  Plus, she doesn't sing it well.  She is shrieky on the high notes and wobbly on the long ones.

THIS!  I really dislike her and I thought it was basically cheating to sing a song that she knew the judges already loved (why?  I can't figure out because I thought it sounded crap both times).

I wish the public would just stop being numpties and at least weed out the ones that can't sing.

I guess it's like Dani said last year when she voted off Jedward, "Am I voting on the singing or the entertainment value?".  In some weird twisted way, the public obvious thinks Wagner is entertaining...if for nothing but laughs.

I wish I could truly boycott, but it's like a trainwreck I can't stop watching.  Wagner needs to be gone, Katie needs to be gone and I'm bored by Mary and Rebecca.  I thought Matt was meh on Saturday and One Direction did a fantastic job.

I was surprised to see Cher in the bottom 2 and I agree that her singing "Stay" again was bollocks.

Boo X-Factor!

Yeah, agreed that I thought it was lame of Cher to sing that song again. Would've much rather have seen her come out and do something more in her style with rapping and whatever as a save-me song, rather than go for the teary eyed ballad she already sang on a previous show with good comments. BUT, I have to admit, I'm hoping being in the bottom two knocked down her cockiness a notch and maybe she will stop pulling so many faces and getting that smug look on her face every time one of the judges criticises her.  ::)

I did enjoy seeing Aiden again last night, if only for a brief moment when he was singing the group charity single.  [smiley=blush.gif] Also, they had him on the Xtra Factor giving comments on the acts, which seemed unusual for someone who had just been evicted last week. But, I'm all for it!  :-* I also have to admit that I like that new Olly Murs song.  [smiley=blush.gif]

The show Saturday was a tough one for me, because I love the Beatles, and it's pretty rare for anyone in the world to be able to cover a Beatles song and do it justice.  :-\\\\ Wagner was especially bad.  [smiley=smash.gif]

Yeah, they performed the group charity single last night. It's a cover of Heroes by David Bowie. Kind of obvious, but I'll take that over Mariah anyday!  :P Anyway, he only had one line in the song. But, of course, it was the best part.  ;)

I didn't think this week was surprising at all. I completely called the result of last night's show on Saturday night. Final should be pretty good, though. I'm guessing One Direction will win this year. What do you guys think?

Bearing in mind that I haven't watched any of the post-Aiden episodes, I think Matt will win. He's got that perfect bland X-Factor quality. :-X

I think One Direction will win also.  I was really blah about them at first (oh joy...ANOTHER boy band *yawn*) but they are actually pretty good.  I  [smiley=heart.gif] Matt but reckon the cute little boys will get more public votes.

When Katie was kicked off, the "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" song popped into my head.  Seriously don't know why but I did have a big grin on my face.  I wasn't surprised as the public seems to hate her but I thought singing-wise, this was her best week by far.

I still don't like Cher and can't wait until she's gone so I don't have to keep looking at those ridiculously ridiculous faces...ridiculous!

I still like Rebecca but as the judges said, she is majorly *yawn*.  I'd still buy her album to play to LO while he's drifting off to sleep (ok...I might use it for myself).

I agree East, One direction is going to Win, but personally I would go out and buy Rebecca. I think Cher is unique though and I find I always look forward to her performance even if she's not normally my kind of music. I love X-Factor, can't wait for the US version, I'm always telling friends at home it beats American Idol hands down.

Wow this thread dropped off....

I am excited to watch tonight and tomorrow? (I hear different things on whether TOMORROW is the finale but tonight is the last chance to sing...

I still stand by my first gut feeling - I want Matt to win - I even broke down and voted.

I do like everyone left but man Matt wins my heart  [smiley=smitten.gif]

I think Matt deserves to win, Rebecca has a brilliant voice, Cher aggravates the @^#! out of me and I don't think there's anyway in Hades she can handle the pressure of being the winner and One Direction will probably win.

Cher really had the best performances of the evening, but she was never going to make it into the final.

Matt will probably win me thinks.
