I never, ever believe conspiracy theories, but this has GOT to be one?  Surely?  How can ANYONE be in the bottom two FOUR TIMES and STILL be saved?  Simon insists that Katie is a great performer, but NO ONE IS ENTERTAINED!!!!!!!  It's got to be a fix.

I honestly think that Simon's relationship with Cheryl cole is swaying his judgement. I think he didn't want to annoy her, she's obviously SUPER bitchy, did you see her sniping at Louis backstage? I think he just doesn't want to deal with her bad attitude.

I read in my Heat magazine that the American bosses don't want Cheryl as a judge on Simon's new American X-Factor. so maybe Simon feels bad cause of that he went to bat for her but the big wigs who do the show don't want her she has too much drama & the American public have no clue who she is.

Am I the only one to think that Aiden should have gone? I thought the idea was they would base who would stay on their Sunday night showdown performance, and Aiden chose a song he couldn't sing. I thought Katie lacked sparkle in the performance, but she picked a song in her range, so Aiden needed to leave.

Not related to the singing but. What is up with the hair this series?
I think Cheryl is gorgeous, but on this show she is looks terrible.
And why does everyone have the same colour rinses?
To be fair the makeup has been better the past couple weeks and I think the outfits have been better than the previous series.
The cat ear thing on Cheryl has to go!

I think you have a fundamental issue if you pick a song where there's a note in it which repeats every stanza and you can't sing that note AND theres a secondary lower note which is too low for you as well.

It was SUCH a poor song choice which totally confirms my suspicion that Dannii is a rubbish judge, she seems to have no knowledge of the range of her contestants and has set Aiden up to fail a few times, and only lets Matt sing in his falsetto when he has quite a cool rock/indie tone. I know they pick their own save me songs, but she should have intervened or at least listened to what he was going to do before.

I thought Katie was better on her save me, which begs the question, why is Cheryl picking these huge numbers for her, when she can't really sing? She's all about tone and quirk so sounds better stripped back, she should be doing that in the main show.

To be fair if you were picking on save me only then Katie was the correct person to save, BUT if you go on body of work then Aiden was clearly the better choice, at the end of the day neither of them were going to win, so it's probably better for Aiden to go out now, go away, write some songs, let the fuss quieten down and come back in a year with a very stripped back, singer/songwriter album, I'm sure he'll do well ala Chris Daughtry.

I honestly don't know if I'll finish the season.  Yeah I loved Aiden (and I think he will still go far with his musical career just because of his uniqueness) but seriously...it's worse than Jedward last year!  I understand having a laugh and all but sending home singers that have a natural talent and could be fantastic with coaching...and then keeping people like Wagner around.  It's just ridiculous.

Exactly but as they keep trying to say - its the people at home that keep him in? Really that is such BS...
Even my favorite, Matt said something here --> http://www.atvnewsnetwork.co.uk/today/index.php/atv-today/4660-matt-cardle-shocked-at-aiden-grimshaws-exit-from-the-x-factor-
and to have an APP and 13K fans on facebook for Wagner? come on...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1326756/X-FACTOR-2010-Over-13k-join-Facebook-campaign-backing-Wagner-win.html

It makes the show such a joke but then again any other reality show where the audience votes this happens...I never EVER watched American Idol but I am pretty sure the same thing happened once or twice with keeping in the worse person but no one thinks how that can mess up someone with real talent.

Yes, apparently Aiden and Matt are very close friends now. Aiden said on This Morning that he hoped Matt would win now that he has been evicted. I'm not too sure I agree with him there... lol... but I'm all about supporting a homie.  ;) Anyway, I'm just not sure about the public giving the fewest votes to the hottest guy on the show....

I think I agree that he is better off for going off the show now rather than later. He has gained a lot of interest by going on the X-Factor, but his style isn't really "pop," in my opinion. I think he may end up more like Radiohead - a band that is highly critically acclaimed with a huge fan base and songs that don't ever really get played on the radio. But their lack of mainstream pop hits (after OK Computer, anyway) just makes them all the more cool and interesting. Nearly no one is twitchier on stage than Thom Yorke and they are still the best live performers I have ever seen (even David Bowie agrees!)  :)

So no posts about last night... is everyone boycotting, or are we just waiting for the results?

I didn't watch and am definitely still in post-Aiden boycott mode! I may watch the final, depending on who's in it. If it's Matt and Rebecca, then no. I would still like to read people's comments on last night, though! Anybody?

I watched last night...nothing memorable but Paije did a great job and Wagner sucked as usual and Katie sounded like a dying cat.

Other than that I was a bit disappointed in Matt - just not his style.

Mary - yeah, samething different day -- boring.

One Direction - did surprisingly well.

My bottom 2: Wagner & Katie.

Ugh, well I can't say that was much of a surprise.  Though Cher singing a) a song she's already sung, and b) a song that made her cry the first time she sang it, is blatant manipulation and seriously lame.  Plus, she doesn't sing it well.  She is shrieky on the high notes and wobbly on the long ones.  Paije is a much better singer, but then of course this isn't a singing competition.  I had hoped that Louis would vote for Paije and send it to the public vote, but no such luck.  Oh well, Paije was always on borrowed time.

I didn't see it, but I'm glad Paije is gone. I thought he was a pretty weak singer.

I'm actually not as disappointed as I thought I would be that he's gone... I'm just annoyed that he and Aiden got voted out when Katie and Wagner are still there! I thought Katie sounded terrible last night and I pressed the mute button when Wagner came on :P.
