...he said "They were out of Orange phones, but the two companies merged so I figured it would probably work."

Lol!  Same overall corporation, but still two completely different brands.  The only interchangeable thing (so far) is that if you're on an Orange phone (or on a T-Mobile phone), you can have access to either calling network for making calls - depending on which signal is stronger where you happen to be.  You have to opt in to do that, however, last I checked (when I did it) - and it doesn't cost you anything extra.  I think eventually we'll be able to do the same on the 3G signal too - whichever is stronger/available where you happen to be, but that hasn't happened yet, AKAIK.

Yeah, he's still convinced that "they won't mind, it's the same company".  :P ;)

I've looked, and apparently I can switch my Orange number over to another provider at no cost (so it says anyway), but I'd have to call them (who knows how long that would take and how much it would cost me), and then have to wait for the PAC code to come in the post.  I think I'm just going to avoid the hassle and just buy another phone.  I can get one for £7.99.  Plus, I'm quite happy with Orange at the moment.

Just inconvenient and annoying!  :)

Cleaning mold in the bedroom. At least it's a gorgeous day and I can have the window open!

Insomnia until past 2am last night. On the plus side, I changed the sheets on my bed and put away most of my clothes from my trip in an effort to become sleepy.

Also, this lovely gem from the flatmate at 5:25am:
Quote
Hi [name misspelled], just a polite request. Please put your rubbish out. It is overflowing. I will have a work meeting here today so could you please remove the clothes hanger from the kitchen. Many thanks. Have a great day.

I'm beginning to wonder if she's hallucinating or on drugs or something. My rubbish bin is about 1/2 full (with kleenex, so it's not stinky or anything). And I put my clothes/hanger away before I went to bed at 11:30pm (and heard her going to/from the bathroom several times before I finally fell asleep).

Also, it's not a "polite request" just because you say it is. It's still a rather asinine request, actually, especially as neither thing is actually an issue. I hate nagging, but I'm way more likely to respond 1) when I'm not rushing out the door trying to get to work on time 2) when I haven't already done the stuff you're nagging me to do.

The base of my thumb/wrist on my left hand is really hurting today. I cannot think of anything I could have possibly done to upset it over the weekend, either. :(

My right ear is blocked up and has been for about a week (and I can't take decongestants!).

Jet lag/time zone again. I was falling asleep on the bus ride home at 6pm, and now I'm pretty wide awake. :( I don't mind staying up a bit, but don't want to be so exhausted tomorrow.

C'mon, Baileys, knock me out now.

DS has been denied further coverage from MassHealth because they claim he didn't send in his re-application and copies of pay slips (to prove how low his salary is). He has a post office receipt. No, you're lying and we're not responsible for things lost in the mail anyway.

Just realised that fees for citizenship applications are going up to £836 in April, and I can't apply until July.  >:(

The medication I'm on means my cheeks flush bright red at the drop of a hat. Like when I just got animated and a bit stressed on a conference call right now. Or have a cup of tea. :(

It also doesn't help that I woke up exhausted today...
