Not really what I wanted to hear from the gynae/endocrine Prof this morning.  :( There's something to try, but not great, nor much hope of any real improvements.

I felt like taking a Mental Health Day today, but I didn't think I'd feel much better at home wallowing over it. :(
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC
Sep 02 - WP granted (IT skills shortage list)
Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

Someone I don't know put a really offensive comment about British people on one of my friends' Facebook page.  I'd really like to set her straight, but I don't want to get into a fight on my friend's page.  Ugh.

I was getting the piss taken out last night for using the word "upcoming" -
Is that an 'American' expression?  ???  I hadn't realised it was.  What's the equivalent then?
Huh.  I'm sure I've used and heard that word used here in the UK.  I got teased using the word "crust" in reference to "baking a pie crust".

Totally nervous about this job interview tomorrow.  It's a normal 30 minute interview, but with the added bonus of, afterward, having to talk to a really important person who has a staked interest in the project.  Intimidated!  :(

This estate agent refuses to call me back. :( I'd really like to see this second flat, as it sounds slightly better than the flat I saw last night. I don't want to lose out on last night's flat, though, so I'd really like to see this one soon. Originally I was going to see it last night, but then that fell through, so he said he'd call me today about seeing it tonight. No call.

Looking to move out again, but thankfully the whole searching part is already done. Phew...

Found out that a friend is pregnant, the father is someone she can hardly stand, and she might have to quit Uni :(

Good luck with moving, that's also a pain! (Though generally more short-lived than finding places, IME.

Sorry about your friend - hope she can work something out re: school.

Good luck with the moving to you too! If I could just afford it, I would live in my own place without crazy roommates :( I miss living in my house in Greenwich with my best friends, who btw weren't crazy... I know it's not good to live with your friends, but we had so much fun together. We were so comfortable with each other, there was zero tension whenever I walked through the door. Hopefully, we both will live in a place like that soon.

Thanks :) She'll get it together soon.

Took a 4 hour nap this morning/afternoon (thanks to DH taking over DD duties) and I still feel knackered. Just too much illness/stress/stress/stress/illness...I could really sleep for a week and still feel tired right now.  :(

I found out from the Dr about my ankle he said I probably did hurt my ankle I cant remember the word he used though it was a big word. so now I have to wear a brace on my ankle that goes mid way up my calf to support my ankle. I can only do upper body workouts no cardio stuff at the gym cause I'm not supposed to put any undo pressure on my ankle till it heals. he suggested antinflamatory gel but I cant use that stuff it has ibuprofen in it an that upsets my tummy so my only option of pain relief is elevation & a pack of frozen peas!! ::)  :P

Are you talking about the gel you apply to the area directly (verus gel capsules)?  If it is the former, how can it upset your stomach if not taken orally?

Yeah, the topical gel shouldn't affect the stomach (it can get absorbed into the blood stream through the skin, but usually that's not a major problem for those who can't take it orally), but when I worked in the pharmacy, we always had to refer the customer to their doctor if they wanted to use the gel but couldn't take ibuprofen tablets, just to make sure they could use it. If the doctor okays it then you should be fine - he's the only one who can advise as to whether you can use it or not.

My dad can't take ibuprofen anymore because he's on blood pressure medication, so he uses the topical anti-inflammatory gels (Ibuleve and Voltarol) instead.

We've already had about 2" of rain today and they're calling for 1-2" more. I feel decidedly waterlogged and am keeping a close eye on the basement.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
