My biggest fear is falling. Today I faced my fear, face first.

I was walking home from work when I tripped over a broken piece of pavement.  I hit the ground hard and if it wasn't for my heavy winter clothing and mittens I would be tore up. I kinda slid into the pavement.

A very nice lady helped me up and made sure I was ok.

And to make matters worse, I got hit in the head by the lid of a bin in front of Katie's bar.

I'm not moving from the couch for the rest of the night.

What?  Was this part of the fall you mentioned or a separate incident?   Where is Katie's bar?

It was a separate incident. Lol

The lady from the flower shop was throwing rubbish away and all the bins were on the street for collection. She just threw the lid up and it wacked me in the head as I was walking by.

Katie's bar is about 1/10 of a mile from where I fell.

I'm ok today. Just sore with bruises on my knees and my hip.

Not to mention numb the inside of your mouth! Haha. Everclear soaked fruit is extremely boozy.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
