Waffle Irons
« on: August 25, 2004, 09:35:52 AM »
I'm debating whether or not to go buy a waffle iron.  I think it's a case of missing IHOP more than anything -- and that will pass.

Does anyone else have one?  Should I? (dare me? [smiley=smartass.gif]

Do it.  I've got the one from Lakeland-it makes heartshaped waffles and I love it.  It's pretty small, but works well.  And all you need is a box of bisquik, some maple syrup and you're off.   :)  Go on go on go on.

Thank you, Mrs Doogle - now I have to get one, too, only because of your immensely successful and persuasive arguement.  :-*

Sainsburys, Tesco and Asda all carry it-it'll be with the scone/pancake mixes near the flour and cake mix.  Look near the flour first, then look near the cake mix.

It's a small red and yellow box.  You may have to go to BettyCrocker.com to get the recipe for waffles and American pancakes.   :)

I should.  I sit here thinking about poor Stu not getting waffles or chocolate chip cookies like Mom used to make.   ;)

Bisquick also makes it easy to make Toad in the Hole and Yorkshire Puddings.  ;)

Well, I also absolutely lived by the recipes in my Bisquick cookbook for the first 6 months I was here.  Made tonnes of stuff from it - including beer/cheese soup and banana bread.
