Yay for you all who have gotten to this point!  It helps me to remember it will get there for me as well.

I'm at the turning-for-the-better point.  Not that it has ever really sucked.  My biggest issues were not being able to have a job or even volunteer!  I just wanted to DO something and meet people.  Going to town to shop for groceries is NOT 'meeting people'.

As soon as we were married and I sent out my FLR(M), I jumped on the bandwagon and started a Zumba class with my SIL.  She lasted all of 3 weeks but I loved Zumba in the states and so I kept going.  I made friends with the Zumba instructor and her trainees, so i'm not as upset that none of the ladies talk to me, since they don't know me.

Through my Zumba instructor, I met her friend, who is a Texan and Mexican so I have someone to speak spanish with!  AND her closest friend is a fellow NYer!  So now I have two US friends who are local, and my Zumba instructor is now my client (i'm launching a VA business).  Not only is she my client but SHE is getting me clients!

So I have things to do and people to see.  In the states I had SOOOO many friends and things to do and creative outlets.  Here, it was two cats, 8 fish and Facebook till my husband came home.  Then he'd be so tired he'd just want to veg on the sofa.  I volunteered to handle the door for my instructor and suddenly I'm talking to the ladies in the class and they are talking back to me and making conversation.

And not only that. But I have an interview on Monday for a job (figured I'd go both ways regarding employment and see what comes up).  AND i have my provisional license.

Everything is coming up roses!
