I've been doing a lot of replacement shopping.  Somehow I managed to miss place my favorite coat while moving.  Luckily I found one at TK Max, marked down to £5 from £69.99.  Sorry, just feel like I need to tell everyone!

I'd tell everyone too! What a bargain!  ;D Finding things on sale like that makes me want to dance through the store.

I am TOTALLY going to use this argument! (And I've already given away a lot of clothing in my pre-move move. [living with the parents for the next year to save moolah.])

Hehehe :D Seriously, if I need to give up a lot and I don't want to give up the things that make me feel the most comfortable/girly etc.. Extra baggage fees and maybe ship a few boxes and I'll be a happy camper ;D

I just went up in the attic yesterday and spotted more heirlooms I'd forgotten about  ::)  Things I don't "need" but don't want to leave behind.  :-\\\\

I have quite a few things here I don't "need" but didn't want to leave behind, and quite a few more stored at mom's to get here as we can. Sometimes even though you don't need something, the sentimental value or comfort value (just knowing you have it with you) is worth dragging it along anyway.

In the past few days and today especially, I wish I'd brought more of my Halloween decorations. They are near the top of the 'to bring back next year' list now. I can't bring all of them, because I had/have an insane amount of them, but the five decorations in the living room and four pot holders scattered around the kitchen to try to make it festive just aren't enough to suit me.

I have loads from Halloween, St. Pat's, Valentine's Easter and Thanksgiving stored at mom's, so I'll start there for my 'shopping', but we are hoping to make our trip later in the year next year, so I should be able to buy some more Halloween and Thanksgiving ones. I'm a bit addicted to buying holiday decorations.

Even with all the Christmas ornaments I brought over, I still need more of the decorations to sit around, so those are on my list too.  [smiley=elf.gif]

My mum used to bring over the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations for the kids. Cut-out decorations, napkins, paper plates, the Pilgrim candles (think those melted eventually), a paper turkey with that folded waffly paper that opens out to make it stand up, the candy, and all the colouring books for each holiday.  She had a great time.

You know, it'd probably be a good idea to gather some Thanksgiving decorations since they're available now! I've never really decorated for it (since I just go to my parents' house anyway), but I have a feeling I will want to decorate next year!

That is a good plan. After I took my Halloween decorations down, I'd leave the pumpkins that weren't jack-o-lanterns up, along with scarecrows, but add some gourd decorations and other Thanksgiving decorations. I didn't think to bring any with me and wish I had. In my mind I was thinking they don't celebrate here, so I wouldn't be decorating. Once I was here I realized that I could still decorate.

Yep! I just can't get my mind to work the way my bath scale wants it to, so I weigh myself then wander to the laptop to do a conversion.  ::)

All my scales have had the option of pounds, stones or kilograms. The stones keeps my math sharp.  ;)

Same here - my bathroom scales have all three options: pounds, kilos and stones/pounds :).

Mine were only about £3 or £4 at Argos, and only have kilos and stones, unless you count the little markers of pounds between stones. It really doesn't show that a person weighs a specific (100, 153 etc) weight in pounds.

Ahh, I was thinking of electronic scales, where you can switch between the different settings.

Having said that though, I used to weigh myself in stones and pounds on mechanical scales, and it wasn't too hard to work out the number of pounds... for example: 8 stone and 6 markers of lbs = 118 lbs ((14lbs x 8st) + 6 lbs = 118 lbs), or 10 stone and 11 markers = 151 lbs.
