I am reading a biography of Elizabeth I after that great drama with Helen Mirren lit my fire for more information on ol' Bess!

I have not read the Harry Potter books yet as I am waiting till they all come out - looking forward to sitting down for a week or two and devouring the whole lot !

I am about to start The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - I hope it is good, I have been warned the first third of the book doesn't make sense and it all comes together later on -

I only got to the first third of Time Traveller and just could not make heads or tails of it. Maybe I should try again!

I'm finally getting around to the newest Nick Hornby - A Long Way Down.  I'm only twenty pages in or so, but I'm enjoying it so far.  Fingers crossed it's better than How To Be Good...

I finally finished - although, I think the proper term would be "let go" - The Piano Tuner on Sunday, and very nearly mourned its ending.   It is definitely a Lover of Story's type of book - indeed, a Storyteller's book.  And, the most poignant aspects of it are all the more heightened and appreciated if you have a deep and abiding love of music, and this is made all the more especially acute if you have any technical musical experience.

I have presently gone back to my fantasy roots, however (can never keep me away from the magic for long), and am re-reading Mistress of Dragons by Margaret Weis.  I know that there aren't a load of fantasy fans on this site...so I will:  [smiley=lipsrsealed2.gif]

Well I finished it..It was a good book not riveting like the first one's were.......but it left you feeling like there was going to be another one?

I was sad for it to end.....

Is or has anyone else finished this one? What do you think about it........

Just finished The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.  We want to see the movie when Simon is here and I've never read the books, so I'm getting ready.  He, of course, has read all of them, inlcuding everything else Lewis has written, so I'm catching up.

Now I'll go back to reading "A Little Girl in Old Detroit" - an old book from late 19th century, one in a series, I found it at the flea market last weekend.  It's cool reading about where I live from that perspective, very informative too.  Mom will get this one, as well as "A Little Girl in Old New Orleans" for her birthday.

For any sci-fi lovers out there, while sorting and packing up my books, I decided to re-read the Dune series. Haven't read them since the '70s so am really looking forward to rediscovering them!
