Add me to the underwear club. I like Jockey.

I tried a few pairs from M&S as so many people raved about their fabulous underwear and I just HATE them. Where are these mythical fabulous M&S underwear??

I got my colleagues hooked on See's lollipops so now I get hints to bring a box back before every visit.

Clothes and shoes also usually find their way in my bag. I like knowing that I am less likely to bump into someone on the high street or office with my outfit.

Why are so many people buying underwear in the US?  What am I missing out on?  :)

I don't like the undies here in the UK I bought 1 pair an I couldn't stand them at all I threw them away an I never throw anything away clothes wise. Dh asked if I felt alright when he saw what I did with them he knows me too well lol. ;)  :) I guess I'm a undie snob I only like Hanes Her Way. ;)  :)  Well with me being a big girl I need undies that actually fit my rather large bottom comfortably an those are the only undies I have found that fit me comfortably & that don't ride up my rear. ;)  ;D I'm also a sock snob as well it's also only Hanes Her Way as well. ;)  ;D

For me it's usually:

corn tortillas
boxes of dried refried beans if I can find them
luna bars
garlic and herb pita chips
barbara's cheese puffs
dried mexican peppers
s'mores poptarts
graham crackers
bandaids
floss
these fantastic kitchen sponges from target
cute clothes bought at a bargain price from the thrift shop - the charity shops here aren't the same!

I used to bring goldfish but you can easily get them at asda now, and reece's cups which are sold at sainsbury's and spar now.  might bring back a good melting mexican cheese perhaps, in my quest to recreate the enchilada I crave!  maybe a few other things I'm forgetting...  I need to compile my list soon because we leaving next week!   :D

I will have to check those out Mrs R.

Perhaps the reason I have an issue is that I carry my weight the direct opposite.  My bum is as flat as a pancake.  Underwear (and all clothes really) is a huge headache for me to sort out as most things aren't made for my shape.  I am sure there's the perfect knicker for me here, but because you can't return them (eww) if they don't fit, I have a hard time finding them.  I have to have bought at least 50 pairs since I moved here, and I actually came with a lot.

I always brought back deodorant, because I never found any here that I liked.
Anything and everything cinnamon - Altoids, gum, 'mints' Hot Tamales, Atomic Fireballs etc. I am a true addict, I suppose.
Peeps
Tell City pretzels (family owned, hand twisted pretzel company near where I lived in Indiana)
Crystal Light/Hawaiian Punch/Walmart brand etc drink pouches for water.
Celestial Seasonings teas I couldn't find here.
Coffee Mate flavored creamers (powdered)
Oreos in flavors that aren't here.

Christmas ornaments. Living near Santa Claus, IN, ornaments are available all year at the shops in town, so I would stock up.

I'll have to try to remember what else I'd bring.

That's a good point.  Experimenting with brands and styles can get expensive!  So it makes sense that if you find something that fits perfectly, you stick with it.

Unfortunately, my perfect knicker is no longer made, so I am probably doomed to a lifetime of ill-fitting pants.  :(

I'm average size, but I agree the underwear here are too low waisted and they sit at a odd place underneath.  If I'm hiking for 25 miles I don't want to have to stop every ten minutes to readjust.   ;)

I've tried about 6 different styles from M&S and none of them seem right and the ones they do look like they might be ok only seem to come in a high synthetic/cotton ratio.   Which might be ok for toddling around town, but synthetic fibers tend to smell more when you don't have access to a washing machine and are hand washing.

My usuals are:

Deodorant. I'm brand loyal.
Massive bottles of generic excedrin & naproxen from Target
Trader Joe's snacks: aussie liquorice, chilli mango, whatever. They never last long.
Designer denim. I love my Paige and J Brand and there is no way I am paying UK prices for them.

Now that I am moving back, I'm going to have a list of things from here to bring back with me, including Encona hot sauce. I go through about one bottle every 2 weeks. Anyone who loves hot sauce here should try it. Super yum. I have found a similar one in the US, but Encona is far cheaper as I have to buy it from a specialty shop. Funny that.

Maybe that's the difference. I cannot abide cotton knickers (and I don't smell!) ;)

Well normally I don't either, but when you need to keep the load light and you only have two piars of trousers, three pairs of socks, two bras and four pairs of knickers for a good week's walk then cotton undergarments are your friend.

Not outwear though.  :)
